Gee... ya think!
Well I know it's captain obvious, it just really bugs the frick out of me that the polls never truly strive for credibility.
Even granted how irrelevant these polls are this early, they should still rank substance over hype.
ETA: I realize last week that there were just way too many questions to rank LSU in the top 10, but they answered enough of those questions combined with our proven history to be behind fricking Louisville.

I wish just one year the polls would wait until week 6 or 7 to vote. No preseason polls or anything.

I wish they would do that every year.

That is a huge problem...you would agree.
I'll hold off judgement until we play aTm. We ran a vanilla offense, they stacked the box, we didn't change any plays at the line, and this was the first game since we lost 3 started.

I just don't want to believe that LSU is that good just yet.
I hate to get my aspirations too high
Don't worry, we'll be 11-15 when we play UGA

JFF looked amazing
he was amazing last year too, still wasnt enough to beat LSU or UF

over 1/3 of their defense was suspended.
wouldnt this actually be a point in favor of my argument? just how undisciplined is that team, anyways?
Rice scored 31 points. 21 in the first half, and ran the ball down A&Ms throat.

Nebraska blows - can't believe they're still ranked. IF you have trouble beating a bunch of slow, white Cowboys from Wyoming, you have problems.
Washington (who held Boise State to their lowest point total since 1997!!!) should EASILY be ranked ahead of Northwestern (who needed official breaks and shenanigans-ejections and two tipped passes returned for TDs to beat lowly Cal)
Once again Big10 looked slow, white and lame over the weekend. The bad press was right preseason...worst conference this year.
UCLA should be higher IMO...
USC, should probably be out of the poll. They will be soon, they have no QB.

Oh so do I, I just wish they would actually give it a trial run for a year and see how it works. I imagine the networks would hate it for fear of their early-season matchups losing some of their luster.

Yep. It's a huge marketing ploy.

Holy shite I had to look this up. You have got to be kidding me! Wyoming was +28 going into this game.

If there wasn't a preseason poll, would Nebraska still be ranked? Do they deserve to get more votes based on what we have seen on the field compared to (for example) a Texas Tech?
Texas Tech is just a random team that had a nice road victory last week. You can just insert any random team you want there.

What the frick has been up with BPs Defense since joining the B1G? 70 to WISC, 63 to Ohio State, then this Wyoming game

4 of the top 5 could finish undefeated

QB isn't our problem. It's the O-line, and overall lack of depth.

Unless the defense absolutely collapses
OSU's D will be fine.
They really only gave up one decent drive. The two other TDs given up were a Pick 6 and TD after another TO.

Discussion is good, but the people getting upset over this need to get a life.
One very positive things I see is Georgia and TCU not falling too far, you shouldn't have to fall if you get beat by another ranked opponent in a competitive game and sometimes voters fail to understand that.

i didnt catch any of the nebraska game but its hard to justify them being in the top 25 based on the score and stat line.
