Getting stopped at the LOS because you have five matadors blocking for you is understandable.
You don’t need the best line in the league but you need one that is professional quality and not a bunch of castoffs.

I don't disagree with this... However the NFL is a different animal than College... He has to be more than just a straight line runner..... A better o-line will help him a lot..... BUT IMO Guice will end up being a better pro because of his overall ability.......

So he's not a saquon.
Zeke
Gurley
Ingram/kamara
They all have good to elite OL to work with...

Elliot’s OL really isn’t that good. They only have 2 guys that were part of the great OL of 2 years ago

Guice may end up having a stillborn career depending on the long term damage from his injury.
A torn ACL is something you can recover from but there’s always the possibility that it hurts his ability to make cuts or that being off his feet for so long screwed up his conditioning.

Those are 33.3% of all the explosive runs he has had in 2 seasons. He has 6 total runs of over 20 yards in 2 seasons.
Don't come here pretend he is some big play back. He had two 90 yard runs as rookie and still did not average 4ypc. That let's you know how pathetic he was on all his other carries that year.
He was built up to be this generational talent and it's just not there.

You just said he doesn’t have elite straight line speed. He had the two fastest recorded speeds in the league last year by RBs
I’m not arguing that he moves piles or saying he is a big play back. Stop moving the goal posts.

OK... But what does that really mean when saying he is even a decent NFL back??????????

What does this mean to your dumb arse?
Fournette has good, but not elite straight line speed for his size.

Not saying LF7 is without fault, but Jax is a disaster and Coughlin needs a scapegoat to turn the attention away.

4.51 isn't elite straight line speed. It's good, but not elite. I already told you what I consider to be elite size/speed ratio.
4.40 at 230lbs is elite like Saquaon. Vernon Davis at 240+lbs ran 4.38
OJ Howard at 251 lbs ran 4.51 at 11 lbs heavier than Leonard with the same time. Clowney ran 4.5 at 266lbs.
There a lots of bigger athletes with better size/speed ratios.
Outside of his speed which is good for his size, but not elite he is mediocre or bad as far as athleticism.
He is not quick or quick twitch at all. He doesn't possess the strength you would expect from a 240lb RB. He has very stiff hips and lacks flexibility and balance.
What besides his size/speed ratio which is good, but a notch below elite makes you believe he is a phenomenal athlete.

Striaght line speed means NOTHING if you can't get past the LOS because if the hole is not there you can't find a way around it..................

that was a shitty spin PJ considering he said exactly what i said he said

Straight line speed doesn't make you quick twitch. Derrick Henry has near identical size/speed ratio as Leonard and is not what anyone would consider a quick twitch athlete.
Posted on 12/31/18 at 2:02 pm to BhamDore
I dont think you understand the power output (see quick twitch muscles) that are needed for someone 240lbs to run 23mph.
Posted on 12/31/18 at 2:09 pm to Lester Earl
Quick twitch has become an athletic buzzword that people throw around and have no understanding of what it really means

He really does seem like a POS. One that thinks he's way smarter than he is, too and doesn't criticize himself enough.

I don't care if he can run 40MPH...If he can't get past the LOS he is worthless............
