SC was viewed nationally as the better team. It just was. Only over time has the BCS title been glossed over b/c of Saban.

It’s just a shitty run sport. At least when they go to conference champs are automatic it will be a true “playoff”

FSU with their backup is still better than Auburn. Bama needed a miracle to beat them.
Yet fsu struggled against Louisville, the acc#2 team that got beat by the sec #8 team Kentucky. Also, Louisville is the ONLY ACC team that fsu played all year that had under 4 losses. So every acc team they played during regular season had at least 4 losses. Wtf

We tried to tell you. I don't know if it's worse to run and hide from your own thread, or come back and still try to argue that you were not wrong like the delusional buckeye dude did.

Would be hilarious.
the bama cult would never allow it
bama cultists hold like 60% of the votes
its a popularity contest that has nothing to do with what happens on the field now, just like it was before we had playoffs

Just stop. Georgia is going to make an example of fsu

By some sure, but not all and the BCS was viewed as the more valid title at the time so before Saban was Saban. LSU got 17 first place votes in the AP poll, there were not 17 AP voters in Louisiana.
SC was viewed nationally as “the greatest team ever” going into the 2006 Rose Bowl. But not so much now

They surely will end this nonsense. The people who are of the participation trophy generation that think fsu should have got in are the ones that actually think fsu will beat georgia.

Bama at full strength is still better than Boston College. FSU needed a miracle to beat them.
Not just anyone goes into Chestnut Hill, MA and walks out with a 41-39 victory

There are 3 main groups of people who are in a complete uproar about Bama getting in over FSU.
1 - FSU fans, which is very understandable.
2 - LSU fans who despise Bama so much that they would twist anything to make it to where Bama shouldn't be in.
3 - Michigan fans bc they lost a free win in the first round.

What the hell is the playoffs?
Semi-Finals
#1 plays #4
#2 plays #3
Then the winners will play each other.
Hopefully the two best teams are in those four. Though I'm not sure about Michigan. UGA would probably beat them.

AP could vote fsu # 1
I guess they could...
But exactly zero of the 62 AP voters voted them #1 right now. So I'd have to think that of the #1, #2, #3 and #5 AP teams, whichever one of those that wins 2 games against other top 5 teams, that team will get the #1 votes.

Not just anyone can beat 4-8 Arkansas 24-21 either in Fayetteville……
Oh wait, that game was actually in Tuscaloosa……

A bowl game is 2 teams invited to play
Neither is actually “non-opinion” or non mythical
I seriously want to hear you argument how the CFP isn’t an opinion

You have been melting over this for quite some time now. It's going to be ok.

Did bama not beat 4-8 Arkansas 24-21 in Tuscaloosa?

Did we not tell you that an SEC champion was not being left out of the playoffs? You can't sit here and point out close wins for Bama, and then turn a blind eye to FSU and Texas. Well, you can. You've been losing your shite in threads about it for about a week (including your own thread that you got run out of after trying to call people our prematurely). But it doesn't make you any more correct just bc you keep repeating it.

The BCS formula at that time was still pretty terrible and everyone knew it. Oklahoma had just gotten thumped by Kansas State in the Big 12 title game and the computer model still put them in over SC, who's only loss was in 3OT at Cal against Aaron Rodgers early in the year.
You know why the computers didn't put USC in? Because the Pac 10 was considered weak and USC's strength of schedule didn't hold up, compared to OU and LSU.
Now we're back to an entirely human-based selection process to avoid people crying about computer metrics, yet CFP committee lovers are defending the decision to leave FSU out because "muh weaker schedule".
