I used to really enjoy watching the summer and winter games but I just don’t enjoy it like I used to do. Maybe it is because it has become too commercialized.

Perhaps the Olympics in my time used to be a version of “The US vs The Soviet Union” and we really don’t have that kind of rivalry anymore. I sill vividly remember watching the US beat Russia in Hockey and that was huge.

Time difference is what will suck about these games. I love the Olympics though, Winter and Summer. Went to Atlanta as a kid in 1996 and got to see basketball, baseball and track and field.

Will watch everything but figure skating.

So no, I won’t be watching.

I'm a tad bit worried about the olympics proximity to North Korea...

Of course. It's way better than the summer olympics.

The only issue I'd be concerned about is home cooking. I will never forget what the Koreans did to Roy Jones Jr. in Seoul in 1988. The biggest highway robbery of a gold medal ever.

That was funny!

It's really interesting how so many people like Curling. It's an oddly compelling event to watch.

The first time I ever saw on TV my first response was Seriously? Then as I continued to watch it I too found it really fun to watch.

So...I know of a lady who lives in my subdivision in Baton Rouge whom I believe is on the US curling team. She has two vehicles with USA Curl or some type of curling reference on her license plate.

I don’t think North Korea will medal much.
