I'm almost certain there is a rule that states you can't keep your feet up above a baseman's knees. Which he is clearly doing.
He is sliding to the ground. The part of the rule you are referring to says he can't lift his leg up into the fielder as he is sliding in.

lets just say it was a smart play by the tcu fielder to stand in the way to try and draw the interference call cause he knew he wasnt getting the runner and he even sorta flopped by throwing the ball into the ground

He had already started his throwing motion when the base runner decided to slide into him.
And that has nothing to do with anything.

It looks to me like his left leg is doing just that.

MSU post a picture trying to prove he's right. It proves the opposite. He's so asshurt he abandons the thread. Classic.

I don't think I've ever seen a runner slide into second that hard, when it's clear they are trying to disrupt the throw to first, make contact with the defender, and it not be called.

The game was a month long.
Started in May and ended in June.

I am a TCU fan and a lot of my fellow TCU grads are saying on Facebook/Twitter that SHSU got screwed. We all know it was a bad call.

People are caught up on this part and are assuming the call was correct because of it. There is no rule against sliding in hard, or late.

exactly
if you take a guy out like that its going to get called
its really not that different than the calls we get in football on hits over the middle.
refs/umps are going to call anything that is close 95% of the time and that specific slide was an obvious call w/the way the game is now officiated.

Was the shsu runner ejected for the slide or arguing the call?

I don't think so. Even after he spiked his helmet into the ground.

The point in trying to make is that "by the letter of the rule" one can argue it was a bad call. The other side is what actually happens and I've never seen a hard slide with the intention to disrupt a throw to first not be called interference.

No apparently Im retarded for looking up rules.
I can't pull up the video until it is archived on ESPN3. He did not make contact with the knee. He was heading downward in that picture.
I really am not sure why I am being called out when I have had a reasonable argument with data backing my claims and people arguging the other way haven't.
Doesn't make much sense to me, but then again, the majority of this board thinks they are experts on anything related to sports so what do I know.
