Did I miss something? I thought that was over and they play Booker T Washington on Friday?

UHigh filed an injunction with a judge that blocked the LHSAA from punishing them until the litigation is over. The hearing today will either throw out the case or move forward to trial. If it’s the former, UHigh is immediately out of the playoffs and the forfeits are reinstated. If it’s goes to trial, UHigh stays in the playoffs until they lose. If they somehow win out and lose their case, the title would probably be vacated.

Hearing the injunction has been denied by the judge, that means they are out immediately.

This seemed like a pretty open and shut case.

Everything I have seen UHIGH admitted to using an ineligible player. Their reason for the injunction was that received formal notification by the LHSAA 9 days before the end of their season when the bylaws say at least 10 days from the end of the regular season. LHSAA's argument was that this is referring to the end of the HS football regular season, not an individual school's. Therefore it was 11 days before the end of the regular season.

It seemed pretty open and shut, their only contention was semantics and how they wanted the bylaw to be interpreted for their benefit from what I saw when they were granted a temporary restraining order.

If they were smart they wouldn’t appeal it. They would be digging themselves a bigger hole b

Appeal is moot. Once this is granted, the LHSAa is legally allowed to forfeit UHigh’s games and pull them out of playoffs. An appeal wouldn’t come close to being heard in time to make a difference.
