one trillion (wun tril'-yun) noun. Denotes those occasions in which a player logs one minute of playing time without recording any other statistic. The term is derived from the player's statistical line in a box score, which (sometimes) reads as a one followed by 12 zeros.

quote:

In 2007-08, Chris Richard recorded a NBA record 17 trillion.

Yes. The "club trillion" kids from Ohio State were pretty popular like 5 years ago.

Mark Titus' book about playing basketball at Ohio State is quite entertaining.

His columns on Grantland aren't that bad either.

i can see one trillion bc you might be in the game for literally a few seconds where nothing happens near you but

quote:

In 2007-08, Chris Richard recorded a NBA record 17 trillion.

i don't even...

the link to the boxscore said he committed 2 personal fouls though. that's not my definition of trillion. trillion means you do nothing but run suicides in the middle of an actual game, or pull up a chair and sit in the center circle

damon jones had a 12 trillion in game 1 of the 2007 NBA Finals... three years later lebron took his talents to south beach

I forget exactly but I think the best you can get is like a 3 trillion according to Titus. Anything more than that its just sad and pathetic.
