Then there’s this

Just spoke with Glendale City Manager, Kevin Phelps.
According to him, the Coyotes have presented cheques that make them current on the 2020-21 season & game dau expenses for the 2021-22 season.
They have NOT, however, paid rent for Gila River Arena.
Story to come.

This is the kind of shite you’d expect from Arena Football…

That tweet is not entirely accurate. This explains better:
LINK
Thread (1/2): An update on the Coyotes/Glendale payment situation: Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps confirmed that the Coyotes dropped off two checks this morning with the arena manager. Per Phelps, the first check makes the Coyotes current on payments for the prior season.
(2/2) With the 2nd check, per ASM Global, the team is current with game-day expenses, but not on rent. ASM will send a recap letter to the Coyotes, detailing this. It also will put forth a schedule & timing of future payments. The hope is the Coyotes will address the rent requirements.
Follow up Tweet:
As reported earlier today, the team believes it is current on all payments for which it has been invoiced.
Basically the team has paid the bills it has, the management company doesn’t think the figure is right, and will get back to the team with a new invoice/request for payment.

Gary Bettman has now come out and said the Yotes arent moving

I don't blame this all on the team. It's a very tenuous relationship between the team, arena, and city. Wouldn't put it past the other two to do everything they can to publicly humiliate the team over a mixup in invoices.
