His best Laker season he averaged 38.3 points, 18.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. That's REALLY GREAT.

The 71 points Baylor scored on November 15, 1960 was a record at the time. The 61 points he scored in game 5 of the NBA Finals in 1962 is still an NBA Finals record. An underrated rebounder, Baylor averaged 13.5 rebounds per game during his career, including a sterling 19.8 rebounds per game during the 1960-61 season — a season average exceeded by only five other players in NBA history—all of whom were 6'9" or taller.
A 10-time All-NBA First Team selection and 11-time NBA All-Star, Baylor was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1977. He was named to the NBA 35th Anniversary All-Time Team in 1980 and the NBA 50th Anniversary All-Time Team in 1996. in 2009, SLAM Magazine ranked him number 11 among its Top 50 NBA players of all time.

The celtics would roll because of 1 player.....
Bill Russell
the best winner to ever play basketball...
The celtics won 11 NBA championships in 13 years while he was playing... They had not won an NBA championship before he was a aceltic and have onlyh won 3 since he retired....
think about that....
All Bill Russell did was WIN.

The Lakers would beat the Celtics
I love the Celtics outside game with Bird, Ainge, Pierce, Allen and Lewis but the Lakers have too much size and speed for Boston. I say LA in 5 maybe 6.

Celtics have 17 titles
Two in the 70s
Three in the 80s
One in 2009
Any all time celtics squad that doesn't have Hondo or cowans is worthless

BS. Boston wins. Bird and Russell. Then there's Swiss Army knife McHale. And Hondo, the Marathon Man. Also, 3 of LA's titles happened in Minneapolis. 16 LA Laker titles?...yeah right

Celtics all time five vs lakers all time five
Only count their time as member of each team, use old school 2 man Reff crew for a physical game
Magic
West
Kobe
Baylor
Wilt
Cousy
Pierce
Hondo
Bird
Russell
Celtics would win it because of toughness and the defense of Russell but magic, west and Kobe together would be incredible
Use a 3 man crew that calls it on today's standard and lakers win

Lakers 2nd team could beat Celtics 1st team
Posted on 4/3/13 at 11:26 pm to supatigah
put shaq at 4 and KAJ at the 5(or vice versa) and you tell me a Celts team could be that? lulz
Posted on 4/3/13 at 11:32 pm to Lester Earl
They have to play as a team
Shaq and KAJ together would be a disaster
Two massive guys standing under the goal clogging every thing up is not good team basketball
You would play Shaq and KAJ together over Baylor and Shaq or Baylor and KAJ? No way
Cousy is the weak link in the all time celtics five i posted, he could only guard west and west would destroy him

like tim duncan and david robinson
KAJ- finesse
Shaq- power
both good passers. It would work

Duncan or Robinson played the high post and the other played the low post
Neither Shaq not KAJ ever played the high post they always played on the block
No spacing makes the lakers easier to guard.
For this argument, Replace Hondo with kg or cowans, move bird to the sf and they could guard Shaq and KAJ but Cousy would still get chewed up by west, pierce would guard Kobe and bird would guard magic
Bird on magic is a bad matchup
Magic guarding bird is even worse for the lakers

I like that Laker team but If we are using a 2 man crew and the toughness angle, I want Shaq instead of Wilt

Shaq with a two man crew would be EPIC lol
