There were 2 offensive lineman and the TE playing both ways, the defense was gassed. As far as the penalty on the 2. It was illegal formation. The OC knew it and couldnt stop the play. Cant blame coach for going for it again. Hope he stays in Ellic a while, RPSB will frick it up though

He's really good. I hope ASH doesn't lose him. The RPSB is a fricking joke. Only time will tell but his stock is rising each year.

Can you post a pic of 5 in the backfield? Because in the video posted the receiver nearest the camera’s lead foot is even with the tackle’s down hand. His head is even with the tackle’s head. He’s on the line.

I’m not reading all the back and forth. So here is the deal. The wing official called a foul because it was an illegal shift. He reported to the referee “illegal formation due to two men in motion not both resetting”. The referee, probably a little rattled, basically repeated what he was told while knowing it was an illegal shift.
So basically they both used the same incorrect verbiage while calling the “illegal shift” correctly.
IMO the foul definitely should have been called. The receiver was not set before the other player went in motion. If the motion man had reset himself there would have been no foul. But he didn’t.

Acadiana is still the perennial power in 5-A, with 6 championships in 15 years and 8 finals apperances and 9 semifinal appearances in that same time span. Congrats Rams on a great season and to ASH too you guys were great

Lafayette Parish football has long been superior to Rapides Parish and this year it far exceeded the rest of the state with the rise of STM and LCA into powerhouses to match that of Acadiana. Carencro's the one that started it all in 1992 and now five different schools in Lafayette Parish have won state championships.

I think he means some years there are teams that are better than Acadiana and he’s right, but if you look at the last 15 years few teams have been able to sustain that amount of success for that long of time. I think the 2010 team is the one where I would have put them up against anyone in the state. The fact is that Acadiana has had all of that success all that time and yet have never gone undefeated from start to finish until just last year. They’ve always lost a game or two every year, even when they win it all.

Oh no doubt RPSB will frick it up. He called them out a while back too in an interview with KALB about how Rapides Parish will never change their ways and how it's a shame that ASH is one of 2 5A schools in the state without an athletic trainer on staff plus also having inefficient facilities for female athletes at ASH to change in amongst other issues.
