Was thinking about flying somewhere in August for about 4 days to play golf. I was thinking of possibly Tampa or Myrtle Beach. What do yall think of those along with other suggestions?

Honestly, I'd drive over to Alabama and play the RTJ Trail. Had a great time on the courses earlier this month.

Myrtle Beach and it's not even close. It's like asking an 8 year old whether he would like to go to Williamsburg or Disney World

Seriously just go to Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach. There are at least 5 really great courses around there which are affordable.

Magnolia Grove (2 courses). $40
Timber Creek $40
Rock Creek $40 (last time i played they had a next day play again special where you just had to pay a cart fee)
The Peninsula - $70 after 11am
Kiva Dunes - $70 after 11am

I don't know what is considered affordable to you. But Reynolds Plantation has some super fine courses.

When I was 5 my parents asked me if I wanted to play the violin or piano.

I said violin.

At 8, they asked me if I'd rather Disney or Willamsburg for vacation one year.

Haha, just kidding. It was Williamsburg or Roanoke.

Well the main reason I said fly is b/c we have to use a flight by the end of the year. I do plan to do the RTJ one day but for this time, I would like it to be a little farther away.

A true OT baller would go for Hilton Head. It is definitely nice.

Driveable also.

Negative. Would fly to the Left Coast and play Pebble and the rest of the courses there.

Ft. Myers Fl. 161 golf courses within 45 miles of my home, I can set you up with three free rounds. You will go crazy with the conditions of these courses.

If you had to pay it would cost you between $24 and $40, courses like Univ. Club. Beau Chene, Carter's Plantation etc.

I also have a Charity Tournament in Oct

I'm not sure where you got these numbers but I played last weekend and it was $73. It is normally $89, but because of it being so hot recently it was less. Worked there in high school too and I have never seen prices like that there.

Granted, if you have a trail card it might be that, but I doubt most people do.

Yeah, if you golf certain times of the day you can get some pretty good rates on some really nice courses. Also if you don't mind golfing in a oven during those times (I would actually rather play golf in mid day summer in Vegas than BR)

Tons of courses to choose from too.
