Yeah, you are like all the after the fact apologists now saying the rule should be changed to fit what the QB wants.
I've never figured out why the rule is even in place.
I don't think Brady should have been punished. I have no issue with him preferring the ball a little softer.

Umm so you have no problem with someone stealing balls after inspection and lowering them below standards?
Posted on 5/11/15 at 5:55 pm to lsupride87
Nope
Unless Brady found some magical psi that allowed him to make the ball change directions in mid flight, this is all way overblown.

Someone enlighten me.
Isn't this all based on circumstantial reasoning? No hard evidence. No witness. No video.
Just that the balls were deflated and Brady is the QB.

So, about the $1M fine. Aren't they saving $2M in salary owed to Brady? So, they aren't even fined the amount they'd have to pay him....

NBA also has a pressure specification;
As of 2014, a regulation basketball used in NBA play is inflated to an air pressure between 7.5 and 8.5 pounds of pressure per square inch. Many balls are inflated to the average pressure of 8 pounds.

The root of this entire thread. Let's not make the same mistake that was made on the Saints. Let's learn from it and try to punish teams justly

I want to know what Tom was hiding in his phone other than nudes of Gisele
Must be some gold in those texts to the ball boys

Brady shouldn't be let in the hall of fame after this.
Serial conscious cheating to gain a competitive advantage on the biggest stages.
Shoeless Joe Jackson got nothing on this clown.

I'd rather lose Brady for 4 games than Belichick. Besides, they started out 2-2 last year with Brady struggling, and ended up with a Super Bowl trophy.
As for losing the first-round draft pick in 2016, that happened in the 2000 draft as well as punishment for taking Belichick from the Jets. Belichick had coffee and doughnuts in the first round and later grabbed Brady in the 6th round of that draft. Then won the Super Bowl in the 2001 season.
Belichick watched Brady go down for the entire season in the 1st quarter of the 1st game in 2008, yet still went 11-5 with Matt Cassell, who had 22 completions in his 3 NFL seasons prior to replacing Brady in Game #1. The Pats tied the Dolphins at 11-5, but Miami won the tiebreaker and became AFC East Champions. The Ravens got in as a wild card with the same 11-5 record as the Pats.
They'll be alright for both the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

We aren't mad at Brady or BB; at least I'm not and I'm a huge Saints fan.
We just hate Goodell for being such an unrelenting a-hole; and since it's been reported over and over by insiders that Goodell is exceptionally close to Kraft and seeks his counsel regarding decisions, some of us think he encouraged Goodell to eviscerate the Saints, and is now crying foul when his team, once again, is caught cheating.

Who here believes that Troy Vincent actually wrote that statement?
