Every single time an organization fines a player they have to send them a letter like that telling them why

Depends on if he is suspended first. The majority of his guarantees were his base salaries. If suspended, those guarantees are voided and they don't have to pay him.

If the Raiders have ANY common sense, they suspend him and see if he wants to come back after the suspension is over. If he does, you give him the possibility of maybe getting a renegotiated contract (with some new guarantees) at the end of the year.

If not, then they cut him and wait for the inevitable grievance with the NFLPA.
