USF is already a punching bag in the AAC. Might as well be a punching back in the ACC and make more money.

Also, for a Florida school ACC > Big12 so haha, ucf.

The economics may change if fsu and Clemson leave but geographically ACC > Big12if you're a central Florida university.

1. Does Tulane have the financial support of its boosters to pull a SMU and take no tv revenue for 9 years?

2. Does SMU get to redo its deal if FSU, Clemson, and UNC leave?

If that’s the list, UNC’s ACC days are
Numbered.

No, but I’m sure Tulane could take a reduced share

Most likely they put a renegotiation clause in there in case something like this happened, but it would be funny if they didn’t

Essentially it would be the second coming of the Big East morphing into the American in football.

No offense but not sure why you’re celebrating, what exactly are you joining if this is an ACC without Clemson, Florida State, 3 of the North Carolina schools, Virginia Tech, Louisville, and Pitt?

I actually do think a fun conference could be something like Notre Dame, Cal, Stanford, Army, Navy, Boston College, Wake Forest, Virginia, Rice, and Tulane.

ND would never go for that, though.

Clemson, FSU, and UNC would be going somewhere. The rest of those probably ain't getting invites to a bigger party.

Big 12 wants the rest and have 2 divisions of 11 schools each for a full round robin and then a championship game. They are scratching and clawing to stay at the table for the next version of the playoff, which at this point may very well be just the B1G and SEC.

They’d also be adding a slew of power basketball programs.

None of these outcomes are worse than being stuck in the current American Conference

I don't believe anything Williams says. This sounds more like wishful thinking on his part

UVA and Miami (or ND) to B1G. FSU, UNC, Clemson, VT to SEC. Maybe Pitt, Louisville, NC State, Syracuse (or BC) to Big 12. Those conferences would be at 20 teams. The rest are ACC plus Tulane, Memphis, USF, maybe Rice, UConn, ECU.
