So to recap:

Rodgers got Covid and didn’t die despite being unvax

Rodgers took ivermectin (HORSE MEDICINE)
and got better. Didn’t call poison control.

Why are we as humans mad? He got better while taking horse meds. Sounds like a medicinal breakthrough. Any of the Dr. Fauci cult wanna explain what’s wrong here?

Still no takers other than wanting the pack to lose games.

I wanna note that Pat is probably the only guy to get someone like Rodgers this candid. Aaron’s weekly spots on the show have made think differently about him. He really is just a chill guy that plays football at a really high level

Much in the line with every day life today, this whole thing is extremely odd to me. Who gives a frick if someone is unvaccinated. If you are at risk, or worried about the virus, you can get vaccinated. If the vaccine works, you shouldn’t give a frick if someone else is unvaccinated.

Well considering he’s part of a union that collectively bargained this power for these type regulations, yes he must or suffer consequences

He’s suffering the consequences

Plus any employer can set its policy procedures as it sees fits. This isn’t violating his civil rights or forcing him to not be employed

I haven’t read the last half of this thread, but I’m watching Around the Horn, and they’ve been surprisingly soft on him. Make no mistake, they were all against him, but it wasn’t as bad as I was suspecting. Reali did cut in after someone and said something like “let’s no play armchair psychologist, let’s try to keep it about a player—especially one like him—and their responsibility to their team and teammates….” Paraphrasing, of course, but it was clear they had instructions pre-show to not too “know it all science-shamey.” A few of my thoughts:

1) The mandate (pun intended) made by the producers of the show and/or ESPN execs to not go so hard at him seemed to me like there’s a somewhat changing of attitude of some media, understanding that the science isn’t quite settled, and there are nuances. Not that it was done out of some benevolent respect for Rodgers or anybody else, more of a “we’re a sports show, let’s not unnecessarily paint ourselves into a corner by taking a hard position that could potentially make us look stupid (at best) down the road.” I think this would have gone a lot differently a few months ago.

2) Isrrael G. did make a good point that if Rodgers did have an allergy to something in the vaccine, was still doing research, was afraid of fertilization issues, of he’d have come out and said all that back in August, it may have led to a discussion of all these issues, would have emboldened players without his status to not have to give in and take the vaccine if they didn’t want to, and could have actually led to laypeople actually doing more research of their own instead of just stalling what the MSM said. I don’t know if any of that is true—I think he would have been shouted down sternly, but it is a good point. Which leads to

3) though I like ARod more than a lot on here, he does come off as quite narcissistic. He does tend to make everything all about himself, that the rules don’t apply to him. They are shitty rules that make zero sense, granted, but they are rules that have been agreed upon by his union. Although, I strongly agree with his stance on everyone should be granted “body autonomy” to do with their own bodies what they think is best for their particular situation. I will note one c unt did say if she knew he wasn’t vaccinated, she probably wouldn’t have gone to his press conferences when he wasn’t wearing a mask. Bitch, please.

4) Regarding “body autonomy,” of all the hypocrisy in all of this bullshite, the one I cannot abide is the party of “my body, my choice” shaming people into getting a vaccine that very few need. Another thing that’s terrifying is that my 8-year-old daughter was on my iPad a few days ago, watching YouTube and whatever girls that age watch—and now I get “Planned Parenthood” banner ads all day every day. Have never seen them one time before that day, and now they make up at least 50% of the ads I see. How fricked up is that?

5) One stupid bitch tried to shame him for invoking MLK and his civil disobedience quote. 1st, it was like a white man doesn’t have the right to invoke MLK for anything . Then, she said he wasn’t talking about a vaccine, he was talking about segregation. Well, what the frick do you think is going on right now, you stupid bitch? We are more segregated now than we’ve been in 60 years. But instead of black vs. white, it’s vaxxed vs. unvaxxed. More people feel more emboldened in their shaming of the “anti-vaxxers” than racists did to discriminate against blacks. I understand the consequences of such discriminations aren’t remotely the same—it’s much easier to be an “anti-vaxxer” in 2021 than it was to be black in 1961. No argument there at all. But I’m not sure the feeling of superiority is much different. Or even the hate. I’m certainly in no position to speak for Martin Luther King, Jr., but from everything I know about him, I’d have to think he’d be disgusted by what’s happened in the United States the past 2 years and disheartened by this new-born, unnecessary, artificial segregation dividing us, threatening (or even undoing) all the progress we’ve made since the Civil Rights Movement.

I don't because I'm protected, but he knew the deal within the NFL and chose to ignore it and now it's affecting the organization

They will say the difference here is, you are putting other people at risk with your selfishness. Never mind, they will flush a kid down the toilet and not blink.

For some reason it’s been ignored that Rodgers is a full on Chemtrails nut job.

It's almost like now that we are drilling down on him, he's more of a 2004 liberal than a 2021 liberal. I know because I was one. I bet he thinks jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams!

Rodgers or his agent got word that his national sponsors wouldn’t stick by him if he came out anti-vax.

He’s obviously anti-vax (don’t blame him) & tried to thread the needle with his answer(understand why he tried)

While I disagree with their vaccination stance, I got more respect for the Cousins, Beasley, & Irving than Rodgers. They actually took heat while Rodgers tried to have his cake & eat it too.

You sound like your opinions are formed from reddit. Have you even listened to anything he's said?

This is a pretty funny turn of phrase because everything Rodgers said sounds like it came straight out of a Reddit post itself

Rogers said he lied because of something like ‘woke’ people were canceling him or something. I’m so confused over all this stuff. Which side cancels? I mean, we’ve canceled the NBA, Nike, Dick’s…. Is he worried that he’s the next kaepernick? He’s not even like Kaepernick - why would we cancel him?

I’ve just gone through this entire thread and every single person has done nothing more than further their own opinions on the vaccine and use what Rogers said to make their point. No one in this thread, except the guy that said “Shailene can grab me by the balls” has said anything original.

Oh wow Rodgers killed it. I had a shite eating grin on my face by the time he started talking about the tips he got from Joe Rogan. I'm just imagining the leftist yuppies in the press just losing their shite when he got to that point.
