Duke is literally a strikeout machine

Haven’t followed baseball like I use to. When did 130 strikeouts, with Sept. left. Not indicate a strikeout machine?

If we are being fair Judge is an MVP candidate this season and firmly in that #3 spot. As far as strikeouts he gets A LOT of bad calls against him mainly because of his size. He would still strikeout but it would be less. Also, people using strikeouts are just funny since the game has changed and every one strikes out now. I'm not sure if MLB has a player who has more walks than strikeouts anymore.

Basically, people shitting on Judge are doing so because they hate the Yankees and refuse to acknowledge he is a Top 10 (possibly 5) player in MLB.

Austin Riley is a better hitter. Change my mind.

League wide strike out rate is 23.4%. Judge strikes out 25.4% of the time. Not that big of a difference.

Amongst qualified hitters, 25 hitters have a higher strike out rate than Judge.

Judge could probably pitch; it would be interesting to see.

Out of all your takes in this thread, this is by far the funniest.

Before today, Judge was batting 8-37 in the month of September. That is a .216 average with 1 HR. Where have you been during that stretch?

ANOTHER clutch homer for Judge today as the Yankees steal one from the dreadful Twins. 11 of his last 26 HR's have either tied the score or have taken the lead. Clutch. Judge is having to drag this team to the playoffs. Ohtani has tapered off and Vlad plays for a stacked team. Judge is to baseball as Curry was to basketball this year.

Judge is a top 5 MVP player but Vlad deserves it, Ohatani will win it, Semien should get considered, Correa as well

And judge doesn't? They have the second biggest payroll in baseball.

True. Ohtani and Vlad have been otherworldly (although Ohtani has sort of hit the wall). I still give the Yankees a small chance at winning it all (<10%) if Kluber and Chapman can get back to where they were (and the offense can stop the "three outcome" BS). I don't see anyone beating Tampa Bay in the AL, though. Judge is great but he's only one player and doesn't get to bat 10 times per game.

Aaron Judge is carrying the Yankees to the post-season as they have won eight of nine, and destroyed the Sox and the Jays. Judge with another clutch two homer night off as he dominates the possible Cy Young winner Robbie Ray. They should be able to wrap up home field for the wild card, they'll win that with more clutch play from Judge. All Rise, folks. It might be Astros and Yankees again. Oh, and btw - F the Cardinals (Reds fan here).
