What jurisdiction would there be?
The AAF is entirely in the US and the CFL is entirely in Canada.

The Alliance of American Football officially has pulled the plug on the league, for good.
The AAF announced that a bankruptcy petition was filed today in federal court in Texas.
‘The AAF is committed to ensuring that our bankruptcy proceeds in an efficient and orderly manner. Pursuant to the bankruptcy laws, a trustee will be empowered to resolve all matters related to the AAF’s remaining assets and liabilities, including ongoing matters related to player contracts.”
That last part is a reference to the reported refusal of the AAF to release the players for potential employment in the CFL, even though all players were released for NFL opportunities. Apparently, the bankruptcy trustee will try to sell those contracts to the CFL before cutting the players loose.

Also, congrats to teke184 for correctly guessing what the AAF was going to attempt with it's players who don't get NFL calls. (AAF contracts had built in outs for the NFL but not the CFL, XFL, Arena and other indoor leagues, or other international leagues like the German Football League).

Players are now saying they are getting medical bills mailed to them that is for lab work the teams conducted during the fricking mini camps before the season even started.

I hope the former AAL players file a class action lawsuit and straight up maul their asses if the AAL tries to enforce contracts that they’ve already broken.
These people are a real piece of work.

What a mess. I expected Ebersol to learn from the mistakes his dad and McMahnon made the first time.

I hope Vince is taking notes

Getting medical bills for issues where you went into the doctor on your own are bad enough.
I’d be going insane if I were given the bill for team covered medical expenses they didn’t fricking pay.

Coming soon. Unpaid AAF player tabs at the Golden Corral from training camp.

Yeah I got a buddy dealing with all of this. It's a shite show. Luckily his family is well off and he's got a degree to fall back on, but a lot of these guys aren't so fortunate/smart to secure their future outside of football.

Invoices from Under Armor / Nike / Reebok / whoever for uniforms would be my guess.

Mr. Farrow, you owe this for your uniform cleaning

They are going to get invoices for small percentages of stadium electricity bills next

It’s like the dude didn’t watch his own documentary.

This is freaking unreal. The AAF is an absolutely pure shitshow.
Meanwhile Vince and team is just sitting taking notes on what not to do next year. The XFL might just have a shot. But even still if I was an AAF player I'd be hesitant to even give the XFL a shot for fear of getting fricked over again.

I actually got a friend of mine going through the same stuff. He was 3 years removed from college, but he was doing pretty decent for himself. Got a barber's license and opened up his own barber shop. He literally shut down everything and moved his wife and child to a small apartment all the way out in Arizona, just because he wanted to give football one last chance. He's managed to move back and has his business back up and operating and everything, but from what he told me he really lost a good bit of money from this whole thing than if he would have never left his business to begin with. He claims he's done with football for good, now. Can't blame him.

I can’t wait for the next ESPN documentary about this clusterfrick. And Ebersol and Polian will be nowhere to be found.
