His best chance to put the ball in play right now is to stick his bat over home plate & pong the pitch. Good move by Girardi.

Should've kept Soriano.

He has to still be injured. That, or he got a bad shipment of roids.

Wonder how much he will play if the Yankees advance?

Dudes skills diminished very quickly.... He is a 20 homer guy now at 30 million a year. Pathetic contract for Yanks, won't surprise me if they try and move him before deal is over eating 100% of the contract or something. Not that any team would take him but still

he may be a little but he basically just sucks* now.

dumb. cano is light years better.

arod is my least favorite yankee of all time, beating out carl pavano and hideki irabu.

he needs to get back on the juice.

The good news is that the Yankees only owe him $114 million over the next 5 years, (not counting the $30 million in historic homerun bonuses), then they can cut ties with him......

His numbers are actually quite shocking the past 2 years. He's also been injured basically 5 years in a row but that's most likely from his steroid use, as your body greatly diminishes over time. I never would've believed that his numbers would drop this quickly though.

And the Yankees would have to eat damn near all of his contract and they probably would not get a great return at this point. Probably should've unloaded him a year or two ago.

I haven't been watching, but what is A Rod doing that is worse than everybody else? Didn't he get a hit yesterday? How is A Rod getting all of the blame when none of the Yankees are hitting? (other than Ibanez)
