97 three point attempts in Celts/Knicks game

The game is super physical and players are jacking up 3s which is easier than attacking the paint. They will adjust though.

to be honest, if you go back and watch a 90s game, they jack up a ton of 18 footers. That's just bad basketball.

Pendulum has swing too far when 60/97 shots are from 3. They're treating it like the paint, hunting fouls more than looking for the best shot. I guess the numbers say they'll hit 25+ next time and the game won't be close.

I like the spread aspect and I have no problem with shooting good 3s but it’s the forcing of it that’s so idiotic. When you’ve got a 6-3 player guarding a 7 footer because they refuse to post up that’s bad basketball and it happens all the time.

Its analytics. Three point shot equals the home run in baseball. The nerds decided all the misses and strikeouts are worth it. It has basically destroyed both basketball and baseball from the games we grew up with.

Another view: it took Boston MISSING 45 three pointers to keep the game attainable for the Knicks. They won’t shoot that poorly again. Boston 4-1.
