I don't know. He's a really good scorer, that's about it.

Think what his numbers will look like in 5 years after having been in the league 11 years. ........I think you have to think he will at that point. I wouldn't mind seeing what he could do on a contender

denver's been a contender. part of the reason he's not on a contender is him. melo has has good supporting players around him his entire career.

he's a deadly scorer. that's it.

did shaq?

Shaq didn't deserve it when he was announced either. Adding him, as well as LeBron, is based primarily of what everyone thinks they WILL do. If Shaq would have been injured, and you saw his stats and accomplishments in the top 50, he clearly wouldn't belong. You can't just add guys based on what they WILL do this short into their career.

quote:

ROY- 6 time All Star. All NBA 1st Teamer 4 times. Scoring Titles. One of only 3 people to Average 25 7 and 7. And he's done it multiple times

Not in the top 100 of any statistical category (we're talking top 50 NBA players, yet he isn't in the top 100 for any major category?)
No titles, no MVPs.

Give him another 3-4 years and he'll belong statistically/accomplishments wise.

quote:

He's already done and doing some of the things the originally top 50 never did. You're just looking at the wrong stats.

Because he's a better player, but that doesn't mean he should be included if he doesn't have the better resume. Adrian Peterson has been a fricking beast in the NFL in his short time, and will be a HOF player if he has a nice, long career, but you can't put him in the realm of greatest RBs at this point. Same applies to basketball and baseball, unless you win titles/MVPs/put yourself among the top guys statistically ever. You have to have things that stick to your name to cement your legacy years from now. If LeBron stopped playing today, and 50 years down the line people looked at him they'd probably say "This kid could've been the greatest ever. He had a great 3-4 years" That's not enough.

I just disagree. I know Denver's record has been up there, but I haven't thought of them like I have Phoenix, San Antonio, Dallas, L.A. in seasons over the past 5 years or so.

Wade has been right there

I think Wades calling for a wheel chair on the court for a shoulder injury should make him ineligible.

Scottie Pippen has no business being on the original 50 list.

Well, I admit I am a bit of a homer for Wade. But I have seen him play quite a bit. The guy really is incredible. As mentioned earlier, he doesn't get mentioned with the Lebrons and Kobes, but he is right there with them. Wade's drive to the basket is what watching Jordan was like for me.

Scottie was considered the 2nd best player in the league to his team mate for a long time brah. A lot of people thought he was better then Jordan before Jordan retired that first time.

Ive been a Cleveland fan my whole life. Can't go for the Cavs while he is there. The way he disrespected the city by showing up at a home Indians playoff game with his Yankess shite on and boasting about it is too much.

Did the same thing at the Browns opener with the Cowboys last year, Yuckin it up with TO on the sidelines.

We Clevelanders have gone a long time without winning it all and I don't care about winning it with that prick. We had better teams before anyway. That early 90's bunch with Price, Harper, Daughrety, Nance, Ehlo could have won it two years in a row exept for Jordan.

The "King" is from the area for crying out loud, show some respect.JMO

Get your facts straight, he showed up at the Indians-Yankees game and sat in the stands with his Yankee shite on and bragged about how he loves the Yankees waving his hat at the fans. By the way the prick was booed out of there the next inning.

He yucked it up with TO because after the Indians thing he admitted he didnt like the Browns and he was a big cowboys fan.

MANY Cleveland fans can't stand him.

I remember a lot of people feeling this might be the case back then. Of Coarse once Jordan retired, it became obvious that wasn't the case to everyone.

stupidest. reason. ever.

so. the frick. what.
lebron's contract is with the cavaliers- not the indians or browns.

you are not a cleveland fan if you can't appreciate lebron turning a perennial loser into the number 1 team and one of the most popular teams in the league. He's done more for the city of cleveland than anyone since jim brown.
