Jason Stewart calling in and reporting that Rudy Galindo had tested HIV positive. Get well emails from Greg Louganis, Richard Simmoms , and Charles Nelson Reilly, then he got rung. The Fonzie jumping the sharks segment was hilarious.

Or, as the sports industry calls it, "How to destroy an ESPN career in 60 seconds. The dude has been reduced to speaking code for all his sports minions.

That whole thing was fake for Rome’s ratings. Nobody knew who he was before then.

I always suspected the same thing.

Everett "proves" he's tough and Rome gets publicity.

30 year old man here. I used to love watching the lineup of Jim Rome is Burning, OG Around the Horn, and OG Pardon the Interruption, in that order.

Yep

And WSOP leading into it in the summer

Yeah. Really killed his career. He's still got the biggest sports radio talk show in the country. The SmackOff is a legendary day in radio. His show was on CBS Sports Network and he just got paid a bundle to move it to X. And he's on the CBS NFL Today show.

Real career killer.
