My eyes were leaking a little bit. I've got to find some of his motivational speeches videos and dl em to my ipod and listen to them when I'm getting down or the fam is bringing me down.

that's what was cool about the documentary (and all of jimmy v's speeches). anyone going through anything big or small can relate it to their life and im sure everyone did while watching. it was well done and super enjoyable.

I hear ya. I let myself get discouraged when I know I shouldn't, but when the people closest to you just belittle anything you try or attempt to discuss doing to get somewhere it's like why even bother?

Keep focused my man and keep hustling.

It was getting misty in here near the end but then it went to black and that "ESPN named the 83 NC State team the #1 basketball moment of the 20th century" came up. Just epic.

so watching now and have not read all the thread.....

did some games not have 3 pointers? I know its more of a recent thing but in the NCAA tournament against peperdine there was no 3 point line. Also were FT always one and one at that time? Not having a shot clock must have sucked.

1983 was the first year of the 3 point line in college And I'm thinking that some conferences didnt use it, so they didnt use it in the tournament.

That was the best sports documentary I've ever seen. Maybe I'm biased having family that went there, but man...that was a really great movie.

These gosh darn allergies!!!

One of the best 30 for 30 IMO and that is impressive considering some of the other films. Never saw a lot of those other Jimmy V clips. Really made me appreciate their run especially beating Sampson's Virginia team twice. Amazing job

No .. The NCAA didn't adopt the 3-point shot until the 1986-87 season .. The ACC and the Big Sky used a 3-point line in their conference games only in 1982-83 .. If you notice, it cut between the foul line and the top of the key .. It was only 17'9" in that spot .. NC State used it to their advantage in their conference tourney run ..

1. Amazing how nobody could hit a clutch free throw against them.

2. What happened the last 10-15 min? I turned it off shortly after Lorenzo Charles' winner.
