Holy crap, I thought Mark Madsen dancing on Rhode Island was an awful meltdown - this one was even worse for Harrick. I didn't know he coached Pepperdine.

Or do you mean, dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, etc.
Regardless, I don't mean to derail a thread off topic. Start a new one. I'm out for the night anyway.

This is good. I like any thing Jim Valvano related. He is full of hope.

I love watching old guys talk about when they played in college.

I am taking the airing of this show about former Iona coach, Jimmy V, on Selection Sunday (and St. Patrick's Day) as a good omen for the Iona Gaels to pull the upset of tOSU.
Go Gaels!!!

They're just now getting to talking about him. It's mainly been recapping games.

Sampson was a man among boys.

Am I losing my mind, or is there sometimes a 3-point line, and sometimes not? Also, they keep saying "there was no shot clock then", but I swear they referred to the "shot clock running out" in the ACC Champ segment...

No. I've noticed that inconsistency as well.

I think this was during the time when it was up to the school to include a 3-pt line or not.

It changed depending on either the school or conference.

Damn. I don't remember that. But, I was just 12 at the time...

Damn was that Houston team stacked

Watching this makes me wish the NBA would make kids stay in college. College basketball would thrive again

So Basically they played the 80's on the way to the NCAA tourney
Posted on 3/17/13 at 9:18 pm to DaGarun
No shot clock. The 3 pt line in the tourney games must have been for pro games.

They only showed 10 seconds of the Georgia game. I know it was the year after Domonique Wilkins left but I bet that game had some good drama.
