I could see Howard just from the physical perspective since he's such a freak. But we're three other 2 that good? Engram was basically just a receiver at ole miss and I didn't catch many Miami games last year so Idk about njoku. I could be wrong but doesn't this seem a little strange?

Agree.

but its offense that seems to be taking over the NFL game more and more.

I don't see anything wrong with the Howard and Njoku as offensive linemen is not a deep class this year. OJ Howard and the kid from Miami are very explosive and can be very good for a long time. I don't like the Ingram pick whatsoever for Round 1.

Giants definitely freaked up here and needed an offensive lineman in the worse way.

Might of been 4 if Jake Butt didn't tear his ACL. Coverage safeties & LB'ers are getting harder & harder to find

A receiver that weighs 235 lbs, runs a 4.4, and catches any and everything thrown to him...thats 1st round all day.

I love Howard's potential in the NFL. That being said I thought Engram was the best TE prospect in the draft.

2 of the 3 are essentially just big athletic WRs at this point. They're really just drafting pass catching weapons.

Exactly.

I honestly think Engram would have done better for himself entering the draft as s WE and not a TE. I haven't put a ton of thought into the idea, but he could have been the top prospect at WR, in my completely biased opinion.

Especially since TEs rarely are able to contribute immediately.

The TE is the new exploit. A fast pass catching TE is uncoverable in today's NFL. Not enough coverage LBs and safeties atm as they've lagged behind the TE development. TE is also seeing a boom in talent too. A lot more freak athletes at TE today vs ten years ago.

Hunter Henry caught on quick, but he was a 2nd rounder.

Jake Butt

Jags let go of Julius Thomas this off-season. I think Jake Butt falls to the 3rd and we pick him up at 3rd pick in 3rd round.
