Christopher Sanchez 9gs 6QS 2.11 ERA 55.1IP

37yo Chris Sale 2.20 ERA

Ohtani, Chris Sale, and Miz will probably be innings limited.

Mason Miller could potentially be in the race. It’s obviously way more difficult as a closer bc less innings, but his stats are unreal

0.77 ERA 19.2IP 40K 5BB 0.66 WHIP

Down to 1.96 now. Still able to reach back and get 98-99 on the fastball if he needs it. Another Cy Young would probably make him a sure fire first ballot HOFer.

If the Braves still have some distance between themselves and the Phillies in the second half of the season, they'll probably try to skip a start or two of his.

As insane as those stats are (18.7 Ks per 9 ), I doubt he wins. Craig Kimbrel put up a similar line 2 years straight, but came in 5th & 4th place

Chris Sale always an injury risk

There's a reason why he's +700 despite a sub 2.O ERA

Chase Burns is t-2 in wins, top 5 in ERA & WHIP. Top 10 in K’s.

Pitches in a hitters ballpark. He will prob be on an inning count though…

Oddly enough, I think his hitting and baserunning dropoff will increase his chances of the CYA. If he was performing at his usual offensive prowess then they would just give him the MVP and let someone else have the CYA even if his pitching resume is worthy. But if pitching is his strongest virtue and he's also knocking in 100 RBI or whatever then they will give him the CYA and use his contributions with the bat in games he pitched as a "tiebraker" over dudes like Sale, Skene and Sanchez who don't bat.

Per baseball odds. He's already a heavy favorite for MVP

Ohtani -475
Schwarber +1300
Olson +2200.
A bunch of other players +2200
