Wow, NHRA got more than Nascar.
Per NHRA:
"FOX’s Sunday NHRA coverage of the NAPA Auto Parts NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway averaged 1,896,000 viewers, making it the 2nd-most-viewed telecast in NHRA history."

NASCAR viewership from Las Vegas last weekend.
- Cup Series: 1.548 million (USA Network)
- O’Reilly Series: 784,000 (The CW)
Cup was down 7% from last year’s playoff race in Vegas. O’Reilly was up 2% from 2025.

What’s yall thoughts on the oval being back in place of the roval?
I think the oval needed to come back, but I’d rather it have waited a year. Because nascar put 4 road courses before July 1, switching to the oval when they did just exposed how unbalanced the schedule was. Like advertise it as the final roval. Then bring the oval back.
At least 2027 has more balance, but I’d hope 2028 includes more right turns.

I disliked the rival. The first turn and the chicane before the start/finish line were taken advantage of by guys who would send it in there and cause cautions. All it did was to provide chaos and to tear up cars.

The roads are more balanced next year. Which is better than this year.

The guy leading Rally points this year fricked up in 2nd to last corner and wrecked thus barely losing the title. Can you imagine how dumb he feels. It was right there and he snatched defeat from the jaws of victory

Yeah. That’s terrible. But it’s amazing when a championship organically works itself out to be decided like that. Not artificially. NASCAR lost the plot to that a long time ago.

I was at this one. Wanted Jr to win so bad. I hated Vickers for a long time after this.

Bathurst 1000 is this weekend. I hate that this race is behind a paywall. Bathurst is an incredible race.

The forecasts are now showing the heavy rain in Charlotte to start afternoon Saturday through Sunday morning/early afternoon. So a little worse for Saturday but better chance for Sunday. Still TBD if any changes to the weekend schedule.
