Hats off to Catholic for sure, but you can't convince me that we never had a shot. I said previously I hope we didn't blow our wad against Jesuit at the plate, but evidently we did.
Who around here said you didn’t have a shot? There’s no big Catholic fans in this thread that I can remember…. i was simply pointing out that you’re going to need more than 3 hits to win that series, which made your point about Curtis pitching moot..

just catching up on the thread....
man super proud of Westlake....big time for them. going to be crazy tough to beat sterlington but they are hot right now. Been watching them boys play together since they were 6, just wish some of the ones that decided to for football only would have stuck around. Great group of kids and parents though for sure.
dutchtown is hot AF right now, reminds me a lot of Sam Houstons run last year. would not be suprised to see them beat SH in the finals.
hopefully BM can pull it off against catholic. I like both schools but would like to see the upset.

Catholic did not have Lawrence for most of the season right?
Posted on 5/11/26 at 9:16 am to lsu777
Lawrence and Richardson both pitched very well against Curtis, although Curtis did have some chances. They will both be tough for BM to get going against. I didn't have much hope that BM would upset Catholic last year, but I'm a little more hopeful this year. It's still a tall task.

Totally agree with this. If Johnson and Tunnard keep throwing like they do will be hard to beat if Dutchtown can swing it. Going to be a great series.
Johnson pitched in a monsoon and had some errors behind him and tunnard was consistant again.
Anyone know who will be the starters game 1? Short rest for Dutchtown so not sure what they will do.

We walked 12, hit 2 and gave up 8 hits. We made fielding errors, got thrown out stealing 3rd twice, and 2 Catholic runs scored on passed balls.
He only said Curtis couldn’t hit.
Your counter is that Curtis couldn’t pitch it in the zone or keep Catholic off it when they were in the zone. They also couldn’t play defense or run the bases.
Hardly convincing that Curtis had any chance in that series.

Which ones stuck to only football at Westlake? I can only think of one Oline player.
Posted on 5/11/26 at 1:40 pm to H2A2
the LB that is a lefty and then the olineman that stopped playing. The 2nd baseman stopped playing for a year too.

Going to be a much tougher division next year.
Neville, Northwood, and South Lafourche move down from division 1. Sterlington and Erath move up from division 3.
