8-1 Jesuit. BM with 4 errors, Jesuit with 13 hits

Bunted BM into submission. Dugan pitched very well for Jesuit, too, though and they made all the plays.

I have Southside at Lafayette tomorrow.

Erath vs. Acadiana Renaissance and/or Erath vs. Opelousas Catholic on Mon. & Tues. next week. Hopefully both.

Northshore wins it 3-2 at Suarez to salvage a split with the Owls… and the district race is well and truly on. Fontainebleau and Slidell won’t be gimmes (but Salmen is)

BM beat Jesuit 7-3 on a walk off grand slam. So, they split the series. BM plays Curtis tomorrow and Tuesday.

ASH splits w Ruston. Went on road Thursday and played miserably bad baseball, lost 9-1, actually swung the bat pretty well with some well hit balls. Ruston is fast in spots. But defensively made about 6-7 errors. Just putrid.

Played a clean game Friday, had 11 hits, won 8-4, Kept Ruston off the base paths except for second inning and that is their biggest strength.

Not looking forward to playing Ouachita this week, they are 2-22 and have been run ruled 20 times.

Might be the worst team I’ve ever seen in HS. It’s sad how bad they are honestly. They’ve never been elite, but this is a different level of bad. Everyone says the coach is not in the same universe as the production, that he knows what he’s doing. Just zero talent on the team.

What's funny is seeing rays posts of face book with all state teams going back years it's disheartening to see schools like Salmen, Broadmoor, ESJ, even some inner city schools with players on the all state lists now many either don't field teams or they are so bad they laugh at themselves.

What’s crazy is that they’re okay in softball…

Karr is basically the same thing in NOLA… decent enough softball but laughable in baseball.

There’s hope though. St. Aug used to be that bad and now they can pull an upset or two

I've got Opelousas Catholic and ARCA at Erath on Mon Tue not sure if that's the right order. I'll look it up.

Looking to get out to Catholic NI again soon. Had to finish basketball rankings today.

Curtis beat BM 7-0 today. Curtis pitcher Mason Leblanc went the distance, 5 hits and 2 walks. BM kicked the bunt around twice again. Amedee gave up 5 hits and walked 4 for BM, not his best outing but the defense didn't help. They play again on Tuesday at Rooney. Probably be Tingstrom against Dufrene. BM finishes district with St Aug and Karr, so this last game against Curtis is big for the standings.

ETA: I know BM is ahead of Catholic at the moment in Select, but Catholic is the better team. And, BM seems to have hit somewhat of a wall with a split of Jesuit that took a walk off granny and now a shutout loss to Curtis. Bad timing but the way the schedule finishes may give them some time to regroup and get some energy back. Otherwise, BM may not even get to Catholic.

My pal Spencer covered Curtis vs. St. Aug the other night.

Said Paul Dufrene was involved in a collision or something. I'm going to read the article and see exactly what happened.

Good to know. I was surprised he didn't pitch today. It should have been his slot up in the rotation. He played LF and was in the order all game, though.

Fontainebleau beat us 18-1 at Suarez today… we must have had too much fun at the Crawfish Festival last night

I'll be honest, I was surprised to see the results against Northshore. Ya'll must've played really, really well or they were sleeping. Northshore is damn good.

yeah and then we gave it back and then some… I think we’ll just be happy to make the playoffs which is something we didn’t do last year and an accomplishment in NSD1
