Back to back to back. Congrats to the boys. That kid that didn’t run to first to walk it off in the 9th wouldve felt bad for quite a while had they lost. Gotta feel good for him. What a relief

That’s not a fair comparison when one is public and one can recruit.

Take Brother Martin for example, 1/4 of their team is from Slidell

Brother Martin doesn’t lose but 3-4 seniors but I believe Catholic is young too. Will probably meet for state next couple years

You can recruit but the players have to live in district. So if you want to move your kid there sure go for it.
If a kid doesn’t live in district and doesn’t have an approved waiver it’d be easy for their opponents to report them.

It’s a lot easier for the Catholics and brother martins to waive tuition and recruit from 40 miles away which they do.

That’s my point too. Catholic is winning more in a division that is much harder to win against teams that can recruit.

I guarantee you none of these kids on the baseball team have tuition waived. Wild that you think that just so matter of fact. Catholic doesn’t even have to recruit. Every athlete in the area is begging to go there.

I’m not saying Catholic baseball doesn’t recruit but I think they are turning out so many college players that if your kid has the ability you are going to gravitate to Catholic before they recruit you.

I seriously doubt any of the kids for BM are going to school for free either. If you mean recruit, as in have tentacles in a large radius outside of Nola and in the travel ball organizations, absolutely.

What’s an easier sell?

A) Pay some amount for tuition and drive 40 miles to go to BM or Catholic

Or

B) Pay nothing to go to your nearby in-district public school

Why are public schools such terrible salespeople?

I know for a fact brother Martin, Holy cross and Curtis are waiving half or more tuition per year.

Catholic is more established with less competition. Catholic recruits itself, BroMar has to compete with other 5A Holy Cross only an exit away, Jesuit, Rummel and Curtis.

That’s still probably 5-7k a year in tuition.

Why can’t publics take better advantage of free?

You realize most of the top teams in the country are private/can’t recruit?

Same old bullshite. Like seemingly every recent year. 4or 5 kids from one middle school played in the game tonight that is also is essentially right down the road a mile or two.. Catholic is a collector of talent because of what they are at this point.
