Great race! Tons of passing. Very competitive all around. Good seeing young guys and a rookie do so well.

His streak at top is broken. Quite a feat.

That was a good race. What a save early then going backwards with cars buzzing by.

Also, the production of Indy car is way better than Nascar. The scoring pylon on left is updated and scrolls thru field constantly. And they don’t have those stupid arse ad windows in the bottom of it. And they don’t cut it off like Nascar does. The on track action is covered better too. And the booth is so much more engaged and active vs Nascar puts you to sleep.

They are both Fox but the production team decides how to display the product and track action plus the display we see in TV. Its so different and not infested with ads.

That was a great race with multiple strategies. Enjoyed Joey in booth too.

I'm tired of seeing Palou win, but I hated to see him get knocked out like that. I'd rather see someone actually beat him by racing.

Good to see the Rahal team with some bright spots for a change.

Fun race. We need more like that.

Oct 14, 2025. Look what the NFL lead in did for NHRA. Indy could do the same

Adam Stern
@A_S12

With an @NFL lead-in of 7.2 million viewers, NHRA slightly topped NASCAR on the most-viewed motorsports chart this past weekend.

1) NHRA (Fox): 1.872 million viewers
2) NASCAR Cup (USA Network): 1.717 million
3) NASCAR Xfinity (The CW): 745,000
4) IMSA (NBC): 440,000

A seven-turn, 1.7-mile circuit has been revealed for the #Freedom250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., and will run along several national monuments.

Check out the Freedom 250 course for IndyCar's race in August. Seven turns, 1.7 miles...but look at what those 1.7 miles go past.

Penske Corp President Bud Denker said the race in Washington, D.C. will be a non-profit 501(c)(3) with any profits going to city charities.

That course is nuts.

The photographic possibilities are amazing. The regular IndyCar photographers are already planning their shots.

The IndyCar Series race on over-the-air FOX on Saturday drew 1,247,000 viewers. The network noted that this was up 77 percent over the second race of the season last year at The Thermal Club, which drew 704,000 viewers on FOX. There is no direct comparison but FOX also noted that the race marked a 95 percent viewership increase for races that aired on Saturdays on FOX last year.

It’s the best Saturday IndyCar television number since the race at Texas Motor Speedway in 2020 drew 1,250,000 on NBC. The most recent IndyCar race at Phoenix took place in 2018 and drew 254,000 viewers on the NBC Sports Network

I wonder, did Indycar increase viewers because of race venue compared to last year or because many US fans are not moving to Apple/F1 and moved to watch Indycar instead?
