David Land seems pretty confident that Shumaker is getting the 66 seat

I was suspect about all the pre-race praise for the track, but it challenged the drivers and allowed multiple passing zones, so I'm for it.

Louis Foster had a rocket ship and looked unbeatable ... until. I can remember other races like that where a longshot guy like Townsend Bell or Graham Rahal had the field beat and then got taken out by some simple mistake or pit road incident.

If I can remember them, then I bet those drivers seldom go a day without thinking Doh!

Yeah, the pit sequence and caution got him behind but he really made up places quick. Just got impatient looking for that first win.

Yuki seemed to genuinely enjoy his (informal) IndyCar test last year. He said he fit perfectly in the car. They gave him Takuma Sato's seat (Sato drove the Indy 500 for Ganassi a few years ago).

In the video he makes some specific comments about the car and comparisons to an F1 car.

That Aggie sponsorship kills any chance for that team to win a trophy

That driver won the Indy 500 with a much smaller Texas AM logo on the car or maybe his helmet

Adam Stern
@A_S12

"President Trump’s motorcade will do an honorary lap around the IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix route in DC Sunday before some of the world’s fastest racecars take to the streets of the nation’s capital, an administration source told The Post Tuesday."

Not sure how many will be there...but the local news has been very positive of the Indy car race here. The only complaints is really when they ask locals who work downtown and they complain about their commute (frankly, I would to as traffic sucks here).

Looking like a rainy day on Saturday afternoon, but looking better for the race as rain hopefully clears out before on Sunday

I am in the Stars area, so hopefully get on the stands for the straight.

The revived IROC series will race today with a bunch of former top drivers like TK, Jeff Gordon, Bill Elliot, Helio, etc. in Firebirds.

Races are today; live on FOX Sports app, tape delayed on FS1 Sunday morning.

Just got home...could not get a seat in the stands but did not get there until noon local...the crowds on the fence were minimum 5 deep, 10 deep in some places.

Well spread out with lots of bathrooms, food vendors, many large screens, etc

Got to see Awesome Bill from Dawsonville up close...

Also, had one of the Beasts in the Secret Service tent...impressive to see up close..
