I’d love to see Max in one of these. Gotta have quick reflexes

He’s truly an all world talent who was saddled with bad equipment in Europe ,
Is it true his best ranking in any series was no higher than third?
He seems like a great Indy car talent but what other series has shown he is The World's Greatest Driver?

Super Formula is a very high end series and for him to finish 3rd as a 20 year old is equivalent or better than F1 race winner Pierre Gasly and Liam Lawson.
Additionally, Palou has soundly outshined Herta every year they have competed against each other, who as it came out today, turned down a Red Bull seat last year and is thought pretty highly of in the F1 paddock
Herta is a top 7 -10 Indycar talent, which is a good comp for how much better Palou is .
Ultimately there is no way to “prove “ who is the best outside of Palou racing against Max and Lando , Oscar and Charles in equal equipment but the going consensus amongst the top journalists and paddock insiders is that Palou is WDC material .
His accomplishment last season, makes the argument for him being best in the world totally valid

Why doesn’t anyone offer him a F1 seat?

Did you read his post? He says Red Bull offered him a seat

He's a top 7-10 F2 talent right now
Im fine with saying he is best in the world. Probably a half dozen or more drivers in that field.

Id like to see this source
Seems like news that was easy to find and I can't find anything that confirms a seat offer.

Doesn’t matter. Herta could finish 15th in F2 and it wouldn’t change anything. He’s there to learn the tires and circuits .
Also don’t rule out the F2 engine lottery.
When I was a guest of Aston Martin in Austin last October , I spent the day with Fernando’s manager and business partner, Alberto Albilares (my business partner is a small sponsor of Aston martin and we get paddock/ garage access at a number of Grand Prix ) and he was emphatic that Palou is on the same level as Max and Lando

Im sure there is no Spanish bias.
Palou is now part of Alonso's management team so no doubt only good career decisions from here out.
Palou probably regretting that F1 decision not to take the seat now that he owes Mclaren $12MM.
Also, not positive because of the points changes, it would matter. Herta still wouldn't have enough pts to make F1.

For any of yall with kids that might be up late tonight there’s an F1 Kids showing of the sprint race.
Might give it a try to show my son who’s been asking a lot more questions about the racing this year.
Purple=fastest
Yellow!=in danger of being in trouble
Red=in trouble
P=Pits
That type of thing

They don’t manage Palou
Also everyone knows The Super License is inherently flawed and disproportionately favors f2 and f3

Yea if Mercedes is really kneecapping the teams running their PUs then you have to imagine this is partially due to McLaren mopping the floor the last couple years with a Mercedes PU in the back while the parent team couldn't compete. They're not concerned about Williams because they've built a pig but they'll likely be concerned about giving McLaren the same power advantage given what McLaren has shown to be able to do in the aero/chassis development lately.
Toto was kind of trolling the teams that don’t make their own engines.
Was saying how Merc, Ferrari, and Audi have their shite together because they make their own powertrains.

Dear lord. Sounds like I’m behind on news these days. I wonder why.
I came here to post to my diary, so starting from the top.
Dear diary,
I do not appreciate these hype intros on the F1 app with this garbage regulation. I rarely missed a practice last season let alone a quali. frick this shite.

I’m really enjoying the Sky sports broadcast.

Oh and Bottomland, Jacques V is on the call on Sky sports this weekend.
Hasn’t been as spicy with his hot takes as last few times I’ve seen him but it’s early I guess.

Once again there's a car dead on lights out. Lawson in Australia and Kimi today.
