George has come out and said his seat was never under threat from Max
Dude lives in a fantasy world. Easily the most unlikeable driver on the grid and thats saying a lot.

Interesting. Thanks as always for posting some of these tweets.

I still doubt we end up with v8's. Even if so the turbos, fuel saving and electrical stay so there won't be a real difference other than the mentality of 2 more cylinders.

Isn't that what Max said too?

Did he? I haven't see that.
Either way, if Max wanted his seat, it was his. George is fooling himself if he thinks otherwise.

Said he was going to retire rather than move.
Max didn't want George's seat.

Max could pretty much have any seat in any series if he wants
What owner would say, “no, I like my driver” of Max wanted that seat

HEY!!! LISTEN UP!!!
If you haven't kept up with the news, Isack Hadjar will miss the Dutch GP this weekend.
Liam Lawson has been put in the Red Bull seat.
Yuki Tsunoda has been put in the VCARB seat to replace Lawson.
Remember to update your prediction list before the end of today!!!
You need to drag Hadjar down to the Reserve Drivers list, and drag Tsunoda up into the top 22 drivers list.
Note that I have given Lawson the Red Bull color/logo and Tsunoda the VCARB color/logo to make things clear.
I will post this a couple of more times today.

70MM for the next 4 years is a lot. Any team principle would want hin no doubt. Even Merc has their limits as it was said Toto had to go to bat for Leiws the last 2 contracts.

Would any NASCAR or Indy’s car owner turn him down?

He is commanding more a year than their entire team worth.
His contract is worth more than the entire Indy Car series.
The idea he was retiring to go run Indy or NASCAR was insane. He said he doesn't even like the racing and would be traveling halfway around the world.

I never said he would go. I said, no one would turn him down. He is the best driver in the world

Not bad. Wonder what Toto offered him now vs. the rumors last year.

All right, the prediction lists for the Dutch GP (sprint weekend) are now locked! You can see everyone's prediction lists here:
dg42.net/TDF1/race-prediction
16 players updated their lists with Yuki in and Isack out. One unfortunate soul, gatorhater08 updated his list on Tuesday morning, and apparently he never heard the news that came out on Tuesday night. 12 players haven't updated their lists in at least a month.

Just saw the 92m euro number... Not bad, at solid 22m more, plus sounds like there is a performance clause in the contract, but RB feels confident they are ok.
If they are gonna allow him to do his endurance and GT3 stuff he wants, plus pay him that, I'm guessing theres no downside for Max aside from not winning another drivers.

So to break it down for my American friends in freedom unit , Max Verstappen is making
Per Grand Prix : € 3.83 million
Per practice session : € 1.53 million
Per race lap : € 63,000
Per minute of racing : € 38,000
Per pitstops : € 1.9 million
I feel like having Max under long term contract will help them attract the best engineers and give them the best chance to get back on top.

After SQ2, Max and Lindblad makes it to SQ3. Lawson finishes P11 and Yuki finishes P12.
I think Lawson would have made SQ3 if he had stayed in the VCARB.
