The Cadillac cars are actually better than they were predicted to be. A lot of “experts” were questioning if they would even be able to qualify within the 107 percentile

We all knew this year would be tough, as did the drivers.

Yep. Hell, they’ve been better prepared than Aston and even McLaren at times. They’re fine for now, just need to improve from here on out.

They have shown steady improvement

They may get a couple of points before the end of the season

I want them to succeed. I am not a fan of their street cars and SUVs but I can admire the F1 team for not taking No for an answer and building a team anyway.

They have the best drivers they could have asked for. In a few years when the regs change, they could definitely be a contender.

They have definitely started out right. It’s a very tough sport

They have made a lot of the right steps

I have 2 Cadillac F1 shirts and they get a lot of comments

Can say similar about Ferrari for anyone that has seen that abomination of an EV they announced...

Don't hate the player. Hate the game. EU EV regulations are forcing this on manufacturers. I like the theory that Ferrari scuttled their design to make the EU regulations look even worse than they already were. They can say, "look, our EV isn't selling at all and our ICE/hybrid cars are flying off the production line."

There are a lot of fully electric "exotics" at this point. People buying electric like the stupid designs. They want you to know it is electric. Guess the virtue signaling is pointless if people don't see the virtue.

I like the sound of my virtue to be thousands of finely-tuned explosions happening within a metal cylinder. My wife always rolls her eyes when an exotic gets near and I roll down the window to listen.

I want an electric just for the torque. But everything I want I can't afford.

Same reason getting rid of electric in F1 is a terrible idea. It kills the corner exits.

I'm not hating the game... There are some incredible high performance EV's out there.

Hell, look what Porsche has done with both their SUV and Sedan EVs. The Taycan did the Nurburgring in under 7m and the Cayenne Turbo has over 1100 HP and is rumored to do the ring in the 730 range.

Both are true to the Porsche performance spirit and look great, unlike that Ferrari.

I prefer the theory that they're selling a car with massive margins to force people to buy them to get access to the good cars.

Exactly this. Everyone that wants to be able to buy the next V12 or V8 or even 296 will have to buy the EV

One of my track day buddies is deep in the Ferrari allocation game(has a 499, filmed an official launch video for them, etc) and even he is going to get stuck buying one. I texted him when i saw it come out and he said he's already told them if they need it he'll buy one.

That’s wild.

Lambo has come out and said they quit developing their EV after the laws changed and they didn’t see the demand for EV hypercars. All of the companies have lost a ton of money developing them and now that the laws change/pushed back they either force them on their Allocation-list-buyers or give up on them for now.
