What are the G differences between F1 and the academy cars?

I believe the Academy still run F4 cars.
Like running the Nissan Sentra series but open wheel.

Was just curious with all the push for female drivers how, realistic it is for any to be able to go 90 min in an F1 car simply due to body chemistry. Those guys train hard and its a huge burden on their bodies.

Saw Mika Hakkinen's daughter is joining F4 this year.
My first thought after reading this was "If Jos Verstappen had a daughter, she would have made it to F1. Or committed suicide, one or the other." But then I had to look it up, and Jos has two sons and three daughters. Then I learned that the oldest daughter indeed started racing, and Max said this:
quote:
"I think my sister probably had the same amount of talent as I had when I was little, but she just didn't want it enough.
She liked it but not enough to, like, fight for it, be fit, be ready.
That's fine, as long as you realise that.
"My dad was, anyway, mainly focussed on me.
But then if you really want it, if you really want to fight for it, even when let's say your dad is not really focussed on you, if you make him realise, make him see that 'I want to do this as well' – I was 100% sure that my dad would have gone all the way for her as well.
But my dad didn't feel it, she didn't want it enough."
Boy if she had had the motivation, she would have had maybe a better chance to make it than most women, because if you can survive Jos's "training," you will emerge a really tough son-of-a-bitch.

How did Chris Rock say it?
You want to beat your kid enough to make the Thriller album but not so much that he touches kids

Age old argument. With training these days I don't see a real issue. The women by nature can probably add a lot more bulk meaning they can carry more muscle and still hit their weight target. For whatever you think of Danica Patrick and Sarah Fisher they had long careers where they seemed to be on par with a lot of male counterparts.
Like was said. Finding a woman physical enough to do it, driven enough to do it, rich enough to do it, connected enough to do it and then still have to convince the status quo to take the chance.

Danica Patrick and Simona de Silvestro did fine as IndyCar drivers.
The stresses between IndyCar and F1 are a bit different. F1 has greater downforce so the drivers famously need thick necks, and the neck is probably the one area that can't adequately be trained outside of the car. They feel the strain at the beginning of the season.
IndyCar has no power steering so there is a greater burden on the shoulders and arms.
While F1 has significantly stronger brakes, both series require an enormous amount of leg fitness to brake hard hundreds of times over the course of a race.
I don't think strength and fitness are the issue. It's all the other things that create the difference between the top tier drivers and the mediocre drivers. It's a numbers game. The best women athletes are doing other sports.

I always remember an SI article on Olympic water polo 20-30 years ago. The US water polo team has zero shot of ever winning because they are getting 6th or 7th tier athletes vs other's top tier. US athletes will chose many other sports to excel in before they ever get to water polo assuming they are even exposed to it.

I’ve seen them do some pretty impressive neck planks and weights type stuff before that I’m sure a woman could work up to too.
Half these guys are pretty dainty looking anyway.
Gasly, Leclerc, George, Kimi and even Alonso, they’re not exactly jacked up linebacker looking dudes.

Think this is some of the premise of FAT karting leagues that’s getting started. Make kids karting leagues accessible and global and we’ll find new GOATs from around the world from various backgrounds.

I think it was a Dutch winter Olympic coach that ripped the US for this a while back. He said that we should dominate sports like Olympic speed skating with our athletes but for some reason we would rather watch our best athletes give each other brain injuries.
Same applies for our young drivers. They grow up dirt track racing or on smaller ovals. Open wheel karting just isn’t that big of a thing here.
