The pre-race grid walk for Japan sucked... don't remember who the female was, but she was so timid and scared to approach anyone.
Give me Nico Rosberg shoving a mic right in Jos Verstappen’s big ugly mug every day of the week and 2x on Sunday.

Hopefully that happens soon. I like Nico’s analysis and his prodding like that on the grid walks.

Real races cars don’t have that issue

Letting Claude do your coding doesn’t seem like such a good idea now does it.

Hey now, don't be slandering Claude regarding a Mercedes glitch. They are partners with Williams.

Claude is driving Williams to achieve their goal of getting back to their championship-winning ways! Oh wait...

So what are we going to discuss in this thread for the next month
Would imagine there isn't going to be much of any real news, maybe some small tweaks to the regs when the teams meet, but thats it.
We can member-berry to when F1 was better

I wish they would have given the teams one test day during this month off. Seems like it would have been fair but I imagine cost cap and logistics make that tough to just throw in.
I would also think some major upgrades are in store for a lot of teams. And I think almost everyone will get some extra engine upgrade time except Merc.

I mentioned that when this was announced. Crazy they didn't say "in lieu of the cancellation, the teams can spend the 3rd weekend testing for a total of 5hrs, the length of practice and the race"

Maybe it was kicked around but disparity in track access or available resources (tires/engines) make this a hard thing to throw together.

They have a tire test in Suzuka today I think. Yuki is driving in it because Max left Japan as soon as the race was over.
Reporting that Ferrari have been granted the ADUO time to help close the 2% engine gap to Mercedes. This will only involve the ICE engine not the battery.

Hell, if Ferrari got it then damn near everyone else got it too right?

I think RBPT-Ford and Ferrari will both get it. Haven’t seen Ford mentioned but they would have to qualify.

Toto is just trolling with that comment... No way he believes that shite.

He only believes it because he has the best car

Toto is a major shareholder, all he cares about is the money. He showed the first year they raced in Vegas that no matter what happens, he will not talk bad about the series.

Those old F1 cars sounded like demons. So cool.
On another note: Seems Lewis has toned back his political statements since moving to Ferrari.

Mercedes has been accused of cheating again. This time they are turning off the MGU-K instantly instead of phasing it down. Gives them more boost to deploy. It’s supposed to only done in an emergency situation and the rules require it to soft lock for 60 seconds after the emergency turn off is used. They are taking advantage of it during qualifying. They turn it off towards the end of their push laps giving them more boost and helping their lap times. I’ve included an article in case my description isn’t great.

YouTube has a good video on this.
Edit: sorry, think it was this video by The Race
Merc and RBR seem to be the only two doing this so far. Seems like it falls into a danger area of the rules/spirit.
Basically like sending the cars into limp mode for a minute.
