Prime's last race. Wish they were doing the rest of the schedule, they've been outstanding all the way around. Letarte and Junior are so great in the booth.

ETA: Edwards has been great as the studio host. And he is still jacked.

And Danielle Trotta is straight smoke.

This car sucks so bad. Turned on the end of the race to watch - great to see a guy saving gas and the cars behind him can't pass.

Need to bring back the Gen 4 car, put in some of today's safety features, and Make NASCAR Great Again.

I agree, hate this car. Tires also don’t seem to mean as much anymore.

This restart by Hocevar is amazing. 19th to 6th in one lap and 5th by turn 1

They showed that mpg infographic during the race and I kept trying to figure out how Hamlin couldn't run him down even though he wasn't saving fuel. Has this been the case at all tracks for clean air to be king?

Also, didn't the COT have the same issue?

The kid has a ton of talent, he reminds me of Ernie Irvan when he arrived on the Cup scene. Talented, but a little unpolished. If he wins a race soon, watch out, because I think that will turn into more wins after he gets that first taste of it.

How’s everyone feeling about the $1 million, winner take all, in season driver’s tourney?

It usually takes a while for a new driver, but once he learns how to win, they start to come more frequently.

It’s pointless. Do fans really care if a driver takes home an extra million dollars for running the best over a stretch of however many races?

I think there should be bonuses/trophies for the driver getting the most points on road courses. Call it the Dan Gurney trophy.
Most points on short tracks. Call it the Curtis Turner trophy.
Most points on superspeedways. Call it the David Pearson trophy.

Create some fan interest, and give a nod to the history of the sport, which is often ignored.

I love Saturday night races in the summer. There’s nothing else on tv and great to look forward to. Unfortunately, night races are often at boring tracks but I will take it regardless.

The addition of Brad in a decision making capacity to that team has slowly turned them back into a competitive team. The 17 is in the top 10 nearly every week.

I can tell that whoever came up with those seeding rankings doesn't know dick about NASCAR racing.

Blaney being a 7 and Larson being a 10 seed is laughable.

Not as laughable as the current point leader being seeded 18th

I had to look up how the seeding worked:

quote:

How Was Seeding for NASCAR's In-Season Challenge Bracket Decided?

The other twist is that seeding for the bracket was done in a fairly chaotic manner.

First, the field of 32 was determined by which drivers were inside the top 32 in points after June's race in Nashville. This left full-time drivers Shane Van Gisbergen, Cody Ware, Cole Custer, and Riley Herbst out of the mix. SVG is a threat on road courses, so his exclusion was a significant development.

Then, the next three races determined seeding for the remaining 32 drivers. It was set by each driver's best finish across Michigan, Mexico City, and Pocono. The first tie-breaker was each driver's second best finish, then their third best finish, and -- finally -- their ranking in the point standings after Pocono.

Such a dumb way to seed them. They should have just went by the current point standings.

And it doesn’t explain how Denny is the #1 seed when he didn’t even race Mexico City
