RIP Bob Jenkins
One of the best. For me personally, I think he and Allen Bestwick are the two best play-by-play commentators in NASCAR history. No offense to Ken Squier or Mike Joy.

I’m watching the Truck race and they’re under a red flag because they poured every ounce of speedy-dry they have on the track following a crash. A jet dryer came driving by the parked trucks (drivers inside of the trucks) trying to blow away the excess speedy-dry, and blew a huge cloud of it right into the side windows of the trucks. They don’t run a right side window at Atlanta, so almost every truck got filled with speedy-dry.
That was crazy. Why didn’t they move the trucks away? Nascar has become such a clown show.

If tweet fails to load, click here. And then in Xfinity race last lap they didn’t throw yellow when Creed wrecked a bunch of cars just behind leaders. So all the backmarkers went full throttle thru the wrecking to gain spots and Nascar got lucky no one got hit by them.
The race director is a DEI hire and has no clue when or not to throw yellow. Sometimes too fast others too slow.
Feb 2022: Nascar fired their long-time and ultra-experienced race director, David Hoots, in favor of Jusan bc of diversity. Jusan is also youngest director ever.

More proof how clueless the clown show is.

NASCAR has no clue what it’s doing. I mean, they have Elton Sawyer as the competition director. They also have Steve O’Donnell, who has been a part of pretty much every bad decision NASCAR has made in the last 20 years, as COO. They’re clueless. All we really have as fans is the hope that occasionally the teams and drivers can put together a good show in spite of NASCAR’s leadership.

So true. All their moves have alienated their most loyal fans. The ones they are trying to get are fly by night fans who will leave just as fast.

Great to see Timothy Miller singing the anthem. He performed America The Beautiful during the 7th inning stretch of Braves Sunday home games

Nice feature on NASCAR taking action to keep cars from flying.
Let's hope it works.

They have been trying to take the brand international. Dumb asses don’t realize it will never be much more than a southern sport

Mike Joy just said that Ryan Blaney led the first lap when it’s clearly Austin Cindric in the lead. I guess Cindric running the Menards colors confused him.

Bob Jenkins and Larry Nuber were great at ESPN.

Gonna be a big day for 23XI. I can feel it.

Ken Squier is an all timer.
Mike Joy had every opportunity in the world to be one, but as he’s aged, he just ain’t it. He’s either giving the most pointless and obscure random facts or talking to the fans like it’s our first race.

Josh Berry wins stage 1 in the 21 car.

Part of it is age, but I think part of it could be NASCAR and/or FOX wanting the broadcast to dumb things down for casual and new audiences.
Also, his partners in the booth are a factor. Back in the day, Joy could sit back, let DW and Larry Mac whoop it up, then rein them back in. Harvick and Bowyer leave more dead air to fill.

Brad and Shrub both with penalties on pit road.

The fact that these cars are beached when they have flat tires after a spin continues to be a joke.

Dillon also blew his fender off in the process. Explains why he couldn't move.

Man they’re really doing it with the commercials today. Was watching the XFinity race yesterday and CW’s production blows FOX’s out of the water.

Fox's coverage has gone down the shitter the last few years
