quote:gonna be a 2 horse race in the heat. Osama will probably lead the best of the rest. Tire deg is gonna be an issue and papaya seems to be on top of that.
We can safely assume McLaren keeps these values closer to the optimum
ETA: Apparently RB have an extra set of hards that the rest don't have. Not sure how that plays into what is normally a 2 stop race but max did all his long run on softs and it sounds like they were shite

FP3, super hot, not representative of qualy or race conditions.
Piastri
0.668s over the field.
Hadjar ahead of Max again.
Yuki is in massive trouble. He attempted two hot laps on softs and aborted both attempts and immediately returned to the garage both times. Dead last.
Numerous drivers were very unhappy with their cars in the heat.

Sainz led FP3 last year at a 1:30.8 so they are still almost a second slower this year. Max is 2 secs slower than 2024.

Different time of year vs last year. It’s hotter. Daytime practices mean nothing compared to evening results.

Max may be out in Q1. we'll see if they can fix his tractor with enough time to try to get a flying lap in. Could set up for an epic race if he does end up starting in the back row.

Q1
Bearman last!
Albon out!
Lawson out.

Red Bull avoids the back row lockout, shoutout to Hadjar for a tow.
Lawson needs to be placed on suicide watch.

Red Bull living dangerously there

Lawson is absolutely miserable. Hadjar shoving him into a locker.

Davide sounds like a cartoon version of an Italian.

Ocon fricked Q2. Hass just can't catch a break.

Yuki makes Q3!
Only 0.2s off of Max.
Max in trouble for Q3?

Yuki getting a second Red Bull into Q3 for the first time in what seems like forever

Early season stars Albon, Hadjar, and Bearman all left out of Q3.
Gasly and Sainz are the new stars.

Wow. They are saying Albon shoulda been in P2 but they didn’t delete Hulkenburgs lap in time.
