Watching the recap now.
Go ahead Bearman.
Good pit stops for McLaren.
Leclerc probably would have podiumed. Sucks.
Seeing that championship graphic with Hadjar and Lawson in front of Tsunoda reminds me that I with Max would drive the racing bulls car one FP1 before the end of the season.

Agree or Max to somehow pull it out... Read it somewhere.
Lando could be the least impressive champion ever

I don’t understand the “least impressive” thing. He is still young. In the two seasons he’s had a car capable of winning races he’s won 11 times. He’s won 7 races and been on 17 podiums this year, without the full backing of his team. How many times did Lewis actually have to race Bottas for a win?
Worst thing Landos done is be open about his mental health a few years ago and now the media won’t let it go. He’s been solid this year. Got down pretty big in the championship and fought his way back with seemingly the whole paddock rooting against him.

Anyone hating on Lando at this point just doesn’t like him. Which is fine.

Never say never but I think Max is done. I think Lando can finish second in every sprint and race and still win.
How about this safety car at the NASCAR Mexican series race.

According to Mexican authorities, it was #22's fault for being parked there.

Keke Rosberg was a world champion only winning a single race.
eta - Button - didn't win a race once everyone modified to the double diffuser.
Lando is beating a 4 time world champion and a legitimate threat in a teammate. Him winning doesn't tarnish anyone else in this championship. Saying he is the least impressive champion is saying that everyone else couldn't beat the least impressive champion.

Button, but yeah I completely agree with you

Thanks. Button so weak I confused him for Grosjean.

Lando with 7 wins so far this season.
Button had 6 wins in 2009. ETA: I put he has 9 wins, that was incorrect. He had 9 podiums.
Hamilton had only 5 in 2008
Kimi had only 6 in 2007
Seb only had 5 wins in 2010 and 2012

Maybe it was a typo, but Button won 6 races in 2009, all in the first seven events. At some point the other teams all implemented the double diffuser and Button only managed two podiums in the last 10 races. Meanwhile his teammate Barrichello won two races in the second half of the season, so the car was still capable, Button was just driving scared for over half the season.

Exactly. You don't have to like a driver, but there's no need to try to downplay his accomplishments.
This is why I've become a Yuki defender. I don't think he's better than he is, but a lot of people, including some people here, think he's worse than he really is, because they don't like him. His record of improvement from his first year through his fourth year at Alpha VCARB is pretty clear. At Brazil for example, in 2023 he finished P9 (plus P6 in the sprint), and in 2024 he finished P7 after an excellent performance on a wet weekend (would have been higher if not for Alpine's great tactics to get on the podium). He's not suddenly the worst driver on the grid because he struggles to get out of Q1 in a Red Bull. Red Bull's record of the 2nd driver looking bad in a car designed for Max goes back many years now.

Only one I dislike is Alex Albon.
He has no accomplishments to downplay.
My dislike is misplaced but it is still there.

I’m not a huge Albon fan either because he’s so whiny. The only driver I genuinely don’t like is Esteban Ocon and I don’t really have a good reason for it. This season with Haas has made me dislike him slightly less but he is still my least favorite on the grid.

You’re absolutely right. Must have pulled from the podium column on the wiki page. Thanks.

Talk about F1 inflation.
There are plenty of World Champions who won less than five races in their championship season.
