We usually see what we want then order it while sitting in the stands. The merch is delivered when we get home for 1/3 of the price. Track specific gear (COTA branded) is cheaper and often only available at the track.

Also if you just want something from the track as a souvenir some of the booths have things like keychains, pins, glasses etc that are cheaper.

Bottas lapping in Korea. What is interesting is that can hear the turbo sounds (first time I have heard them):

Cool video but are we sure that’s not just some wind noise whistle?

Seems to increase with speed and not engine RPM

Saw something about that too.

Apparently whatever we were talking about last week or so wasn’t official.

Yeh I guess that was my bad. Believed a tweet I saw 2 weeks ago that said he had signed.

What y’all think about Ted Kravitz revealing this in his book? Should a reporter keep something like this to himself. I’m sure George won’t hold it against him.

quote:

Ted Kravitz reveals that George Russell had planned his media attack on Max at Abu Dhabi last year "A minute before his time slot, up strode George. He called me over to the edge of the pen – ‘make sure you ask me a follow-up question’. "What do you mean?’ I asked. [He replied] ‘I’m going to give it back to Max. I’ve had enough of him bad-mouthing me in the press, and I’m going to call him out on his bullying tactics. "I know you’re only supposed to ask me one question, but never mind that, I’m up for as many questions as you like’."

Surprised that Kravitz made that public but it shows how much of a baby George can be. If you need to stage being tough toward Max, you are not tough toward Max. That's why he owns you, George.

I would have to think Russell approved it being in there as they likely had to fact check with him.

I'm guessing here, but I'd imagine Russell thought if he beefed with Max, he would get "likes" from the anti-Verstappen crowd, but in reality, it just made him look like a knob because Russell has the personality of an autistic robot.

Russell is also a GPDA rep and could need to put the conversation out there for drivers that won't.

Not saying it worked, but Russell taking the first step highlighted VER driving into other drivers and not getting the benefit of the doubt.

I'd have to read the book to see the context that Kravitz is placing the request in.

Valid point. I forget about him being the rep.

The insider info around F1 is too deep to think drivers and journalist aren't playing some game together.

Same for the teams and getting PR out there.

What’s it supposed to be? Weird fire? Cheetos? Fried chicken bits?

I don’t know why but I like it, most of the others look just like their normal liveries.

That Gif perfectly describes my understanding of your quoted text.

Looks like it’ll be another high heat hazard weekend with cool suits required.
