Massi basically inserted rules that F1 thought would never be done.
yeah but of course you ain't even talking about that

I dont have a problem with teams swapping spots. But to point to Massi as some pinnacle of F1 frickery ignores decades of F1 frickery

Massi got fired, shadow banned from motorspots for his actions. Changed the rules of motorsports all together. People still think it was a coincidence and he didnt just "screw up"

At least Briatore admits if you ain't cheating you aint trying.

Get mad Netflix fans....let me feel the downvotes.

I was cool with it in the moment because I was tired of Hamilton dominance but it wasn’t right. Obviously.

Next year the cars are supposed to have an even higher top speed. Right at 250mph.
Better make some braking modifications while they're at it.

Cornering should be way worse. Engine formula this time. Pure power is expected.

All right, the TD F1 Championship results are in!

dg42.net/TDF1/race-results.php?race=16

The winner of the TD F1 Italian Grand Prix is theone with his first win and fouth podium of the season!

The podium is filled out by bikerack in P2 for his third podium, and TouchedTheAxeIn82 in P3 for his fourth podium.

Here's the championship table: dg42.net/TDF1/index.php?table=full

sorantable was out of the points again in the race, but his lead over P2 has shrunk just slightly yet again, from 20 points to 18 points.

pitstop is holding tight to P2 in the championship with a P9 race finish.

gatorhater08 in P3 is threatening pitstop with a P7 finish and closing the gap to P2 to just two points.

With his race win, theone has shot up in the championship from P8 last week to P4.

Championship leader sorantable is still the only player with five podiums. pitstop, gatorhater08, theone, and TouchedTheAxeIn82 all have four podiums.

jefforize, Grassy1, VABuckeye, bikerack, and ephidelt541 have three podiums each.

pitstop, theone, and Grassy1 have scored points in 11 of the first 16 races.

Completely the right move for Mclaren. They are managing egos and drivers to win multiple championships.

They swapped 2nd and 3rd.

Downvote away, lack of teamwork is why teams don't have multiple WCC

Oscar has the WDC wrapped. I think it's a non issue. Both on the podium. I think if it had been for the win they wouldn't have traded.

Watched an interview with him about this. He is taking over to start next season. He will be the CEO and has hired a team principal. Current owner is going to stay involved for at least the next season because Gunter said he doesn’t know anything about motorcycle racing. 2027 is a big regulation change in MotoGP, they are going from 1000cc to 850cc and getting rid of the ride height devices. Will be interesting to see how he does, the past few years have been dominated by Ducati, this year the other Ducati riders can’t even keep up with Marc Marquez.

Somehow I just discovered ESPN’s F1 highlights. Much better than the official channel IMO.

Being a GOAT doesn't exempt you from German law, I suppose. In the US, he could just write a representative and make a donation and boom, license approved.

Earlier in this thread, I wrote about a theory of why the Americans dominated 500cc racing in the 80s. I didn't start watching the grand prix bikes until the 90s so I missed the golden period for the Americans, but I read up a bit about those guys. What Freddie Spencer did was jaw-dropping.

I did get to see the old-school guys once, before they went four-stroke. I saw the 1994 USGP at Laguna Seca. I got to see Mick, which was amazing, but Luca Cadalora won the race, with John Kocinski 2nd on a Cagiva, then Mick. Also saw 250 legend Max Biaggi, although he didn't win his race either!

Actually the 90s were amazing for the grand prix bikes, World Superbike, and AMA Superbike. I followed all three series.

Wow, F1 is gaining on Nascar.

The NASCAR Cup Series race at Gateway drew an average of 1.53 million viewers. Down from 1.8 million for last year's second playoff race.

ESPN says the F1 race at Monza drew 1.2 million viewers. That is the 10th F1 race this season to set a U.S. viewership record.
