You are joking right ?
Indycars are much more difficult to drive than both F1 and F2 machines.
The talent pool in Indycar is much deeper as well- if that wasn’t that case Theo Pourchaire would still have a ride and Callum illot (f2 runner up ) wouldn’t be a mid pack driver

The former F1 drivers in Indy probably deepen the field's talent, but the F1 drovers are usually washed up by that point. Don't have the competition for seats and the push to perform.
Comparing the two cars is probably unfair so that is what it is. They are close so just leave it at that.

Also on top of former F1 guys you have elite world class talents like:
- Newgarden
- Dixon
- Kirkwood
-Herta
- McLaughlin
-Power
-Lundgaard
-Pato
-Louis Foster
-Rinus Veekay
-Felix Rosenqvist
-Alex Rossi
-Callum Illot
-Robert Schwartzman
That are all f1 level drivers who excelled in jr formula / are jr formula champions
Yes the lower end guys like Sting Ray Robb, and Conor Daly are not as talented as your average f2 driver, but Indycar also has more seats so more room for shittier drivers at the Lower end of the field d

Half those names are well past their primes. Most of the others are good Indy drivers.

All of those guys are top 50 drivers in the world

One other thing to note is that Verstappen drives like Senna where you could say Palou drives like Prost

The guy who finished 23rd in Indy car is in the top 50 drivers.....in the world.

I enjoy both series, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I have a hard time seeing how a group of teenagers and early 20s guys is superior to the top half of the Indycar field.
It’s not as if the ones who end up in Indycar light the world on fire. Seems to me there’s a lot more Strolls than Verstappens coming from F2.
I’m of the belief that the elite in all the top Motorsport series are somewhat similar on talent, but birthplace and their parents’ bank accounts set them down different paths.

Not disagreeing with any of what you said.
I wouldn't say Lando, Oscar, or Max going to Indy automatically translates into them being on the same level as Palou in Indy.
Alonso tried when he was still in his (somewhat) prime and we saw how that went.

All right you guys, you have until Thursday night to update your prediction list. As of Wednesday night, very few people have updated their lists.
Here is last year's Dutch GP qualy:
formula1.com/en/results/2024/races/1243/netherlands/qualifying
And last year's Dutch GP race result:
formula1.com/en/results/2024/races/1243/netherlands/race-result
But to get a perspective on how things have been going recently, the last round at Hungary is interesting.
Here are the qualy results:
formula1.com/en/results/2025/races/1266/hungary/qualifying
And the race results:
formula1.com/en/results/2025/races/1266/hungary/race-result
Compared to last year, Sauber has improved tremendously, Alpine is going backwards, VCARB has improved, Red Bull is in bad shape...

I'm so far behind that I need to try some strategy dice-rolls to get anywhere near the top 25%.
Stroll P3 it is.

OK, the prediction lists for the Dutch GP are now locked out.
Here are all of the prediction lists if you want to check them out: dg42.net/TDF1/race-prediction
I just noticed that our two most consistent points scorers Grassy1 and theone -- both have scored 10 times in 14 races -- have both kept the same prediction list for the last three races, and have both kept the same list for the 4th race in a row (the Dutch GP). If they both score again this weekend, maybe they have discovered the magic formula for the best compromise lists for consistent points, although it remains to be seen if this strategy can get them further up the championship order.
Also, pitstop, P2 in the championship at the moment, has had the same list for the last two races, and is now letting it ride for the 3rd race in a row.

Just checking in to say how much I hate the bottom sticky. I feel like this needs to be stated on every page.

Car: No, I go straight.

Watched FP1 and FP2 earlier.
Gotta love Jacques contrary-arse in the commentary box. They did have a good idea about sticking max in a racing bull car during one of his mandatory FP1 sit outs.
Pretty sloppy practices for almost everyone
