They really screwed over Bearman! He was making Q2 regardless the crash. Why didn’t they let him have what he earned. F1 has some dumbass rules. He was way past the crash. Need to look at circumstances and rule accordingly. As bad as Nascar rulings on this one.

Red flag is return to pit. Whatever crash happened on the track is more important that whatever lap time you are about to set.

Sometimes you get the advantage, sometimes you don't. Part of going racing.

Did you even watch it? He was at full speed well past pit lane and only a second from finish line when red cane out.

They needed to use common sense. The wreck was on other side of track. He was on main straight a second away. In no way was his car close to any other action.

He got robbed by stupid rules and people with no common sense

Look at what happened in 2014 and you will understand. Not the same situation but a primary reason for the abundance of caution.

Don’t think they should have bent the rules for him or anyone else, just how things fall sometimes. Sucks for him though for sure.

Argentina fans suck. They’ve been going after Yuki.

I am a fan of making a rule that if you cause a red flag during a qualifying session your time is cancelled and you go to the end of that sessions list. Ref flags can be so detrimental to multiple drivers that I think that’s only fair.

I think something happened in practice. Argentine fans are historically top of the list for being unhinged fans. A IndyCar driver got pretty much kicked off a team because Argentine fans were threatening other drivers.

Here I think luckily Colapinto has spoken out against his fans but that probably won’t stop them.

Dothan was also receiving many threats in Miami for Colapinto fans

Oh yeah, I think I remember hearing about that now. See Doohan’s dad mocked the crash on insta and then deleted it. Hard to blame him for feeling that way but…

OK, here's some 3D chess thinking... If Red Bull re-swaps Tsunoda and Lawson, the overall performance of the four Red Bull seats would increase. Yuki would be up there with Hadjar, and Lawson would be in the back no matter which team he's on.

Or, fire Lawson, put Yuki back at VCARB, and throw a bunch of drivers into the second Red Bull seat and see if any of them stick. You couldn't do any worse than what's happening right now. There are plenty of reserve drivers who would relish the chance, starting with Bottas.

Watching pre-race and nice of Zach to let the cameras examine the rear brake ducts and rear wing of the McLaren. I don’t always get to watch these but better than trying to chat up celebrities.

Don’t think he did. Seems like they have a different crew this weekend.
