I’ll let NASCAR decide the waiver, I just want to see Larson take in the challenge of the Indy 500 because he’s a phenomenal talent and it will be fun to watch. I’d hate to see the weather take that away from everyone.

I had to look it up to remind me that Blaney won the 600 last year.
An Indy 500 winner is assured of a place in history.
I concede that NASCAR, as fricked up as it is, is the healthier overall racing series.
Indy still reigns supreme as an event.

Larson is staying to run the Indy 500 and will miss the start of the Coke 600. He will need a waiver from NASCAR to be playoff eligible due to missing the start. Justin Allgaier is the standby driver for the 5 team.

He'll get the waiver

So instead of 1100 miles he’ll probably do 850?

I think Dale Jr has even said this. Granted, it was when he worked for NBC, but he commented on how big of a spectacle it is.

I feel like they either feel really good about their chances to get the waiver or NASCAR has already told them he will get it. I don’t think he would’ve stayed if they didn’t at least feel confident about getting the waiver.

I'm here, louder than the cheers for the truck winner the other night
After the awful traffic, the police welcome was, uh, not as good.
