Don’t try to look for anything resembling consistency in F1. It’ll just drive you crazy.

Go watch the race again. KMag pulled away from the train behind him after Hulk pitted.

I'm definitely not watching that race again. I'll take your word for it.

I totally agree, they need to improve the system. It works perfectly fine in IndyCar to make the driver give up the position.

I was also was about to post another encouraging sign from Haas. Earlier in this thread I mocked Gene Haas after firing Gunther, when he said that he expected improvements without increasing spending. Then I said of course they can make some immediate improvements like their race-day performance (strategy, reduce mistakes), and I posted a graphic showing how bad they did in the DHL pit stop competition last year (which gives F1 points for having a top-10 pit stop in each race).

Well, they did great in this race. And considering how consistently disappointing the team had been for years in race-day management, this seems to be a direct reflection on Gunther and how they improved the team by promoting Komatsu.

Yeah their desire to create PR things has begun to do the opposite. I just cannot believe Max’s car and driving are this much better than everyone else.

Development over the season is always their downfall, but haas look like the 6th best team so far. RB has been a massive disappointment.

Didn't see the replay, but did his tires move off the line?

You can move, just can't be off the line before lights go out.

My biggest suprise was how fricking slow the Mclaren is with DRS enabled.

I think they said they were only getting 7kph more in comparison to RB getting 30

What if instead of giving pit stop time penalties they do what Nascar does on road tracks. Have a designated spot somewhere on the track where they do a stop and go.

I agree on the second one all they needed to do is demand he give spot back (where he cut the corner on the pass). But a drive thru penalty plus pit time penalty is a race killer.

I like drivers making an effort to pass and the harsh penalties mean less drivers risk passes if they can’t for sure make it. Some type of stop/go “on the track” might make it fairer.

Yes, he lurched at least a foot ahead. Then he stopped right when everyone else went and it cost him a slow start.

It appears F1 decided that ended up being his penalty (the slower start) but the rules are clear he jumped the start. Thats the problem with F1, arbitrary rules application.

Can’t recall who it was but someone weaved more than once while pressured and I don’t recall a penalty.

On Mag first penalty - he was squeezed into left wall by mere inches before he squeezed back right after. Why wasn’t the first squeezer penalized?

Good race.

We are discussing going to Silverstone this year. It’s an iconic track and the fans are insane over F1. I’m going to price it tomorrow. I have almost 700k British Air miles so the flights won’t cost much.

They had a 2.5* something last week as well.

The improvement in pit stops is massive. They got a little better last year but they used to be over 4 seconds pretty consistently. Like they never bothered to practice or improve.

So glad frickbomb is gone.

Followed by China, which means I won’t be watching a race live until Miami in May.

Horner is such a dumbass. He posted a Happy Mother's Day to Geri on IG and left the comments on.

Every comment is about him cheating on his first wife with Geri and now cheating on Geri with an employee

On the 2nd - he should have given the place back immediately.

On the 1st - should have only been 5, 10 was excessive and inconsistent

I understand that this is the new rule and drivers wanted it.
