The last time I remember was in Austria a few years ago.

Mazepin and Latifi handed post-race penalties for failing to slow under yellow flags

quote:

Both Latifi and Mazepin were handed 10-second stop-and-go penalties, which translates to 30 seconds added to their race times.

Each driver was also given three penalty points

History isn't the best guide. At Zandvoort in 1973, the cars kept racing flat out while Roger Williamson burned to death underneath his car on the edge of the track

The used to leave cars parked along the track.

Now they need a safety car to remove a mirror surround.

Pussies.

So after the penultimate round in Qatar, here are the championship changes:

In the WCC, Alpine reclaimed P6 on the strength of Gasly's 10 pts. KMag scored 2 pts for Haas, but Alpine now has a 5-pt gap on Haas. That's going to be tough for Haas to overcome in the last round.

In the WDC:

Gasly moved up one to P11, just one point behind Hulk. Tsunoda dropped one to P12.

Zhou moved up one to P20, dropping Lawson down one to P21.

Bottas finally got lifted from rock bottom with his P11 finish. Sargeant got fired long ago but he had a P11 finish so Bottas had to do that or better to rise above him. Bottas is up one to P22, and Sargeant drops one to dead last, P23.

In the TD Prediction Championship (TDPC), Pitt Road and VABuckeye are holding steady in P1 and P2, respectively, but there is movement just below.

iwyLSUiwy rises one to a podium position at P3.

tccdc rises two places to P4.

Tornado Alley has dropped two places from his previous podium spot down to to P5.

Lebowski, who was in P3 just three races ago, has recovered slightly, rising one place to P6.

With just one race left, Pitt Road and VABuckeye seem pretty safe at the top, but there really is a lot of movement that can happen in the WDC still, and a little movement can happen in the WCC, so the TDPC podium is not set yet!

Definitely pulling for Ferrari. Fat Brown has been extremely irritating this year.

Max was pretty chill this season, never lashed out at Lando when Lando was bashing him in the media. Has been complimentary of other drivers all season, been supportive of Checo. Never moaned about all the drama around Red Bull this season. But right at the end of the season George Osama Bin Russel has awakened Mad Max, shame it didn’t happen earlier in the season.

Going to miss KMag and Hulk at haas vs Ocon. Hopefully Bearman is likable enough.

Agree. Ideal lineup for me is 2 of KMag, Berman and Sainz. Ocon? Ugggg.
