Magnussen loves IndyCar and will happily go there when he gets pushed out the door. But he's been driving so badly this year that I wonder if IndyCar owners would be hesitant to take him on now.
Romain Grosjean (French for "destroys many cars") has a ride.

IIRC he was driving pretty dangerously in holding up the field there. Didn’t he end up with like 30 seconds in penalties for leaving the track to gain an advantage?
Just looked it up - it was the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix where he held the field up and allowed Hulkenberg to place 10th and score. He received 20 seconds of penalties in that race (10 seconds for causing a collision and 10 seconds for leaving the track and gaining an advantage).
I do not recall the specifics, but I vaguely remember seeing him cut across a chicane or turn to, purportedly, stay in front of the competitor to keep the pressure off Hulkenberg.
Didn't he receive a ton in China too?

I think KMag cut the chicane to pass Yuki. All he got was a small time penalty, and Yuki was unable to pass him back. The rule is so stupid. They should be instructed to give the place back or get a black flag. In F1 of all series, because it is so hard to pass, an illegal pass should not be allowed to happen.

The announcers are idiots,

oh shite
YUKI V. MAGNUSSEN DANK BATTEL
IN THE YUKI CORNER: TOUCHEDTHEAXEIN82!
IN THE KMAG CORNER: TORNADO ALLEY!
Yeah, so what his four wheels were off the track? He already had the pass completed. Yuki was just butthurt he didn't have the cojones, or boru in Japanese, to brake that late into a quick left then right on a tight street circuit.
I therefore hereby rescind KMAG's 10-second penalty for this racing incident.

If the pass was truly completed, he wouldn't have had to put four wheels off the track.

To be fair, several other drivers currently on the grid have binned it on out-laps, warm-up laps, and safety car laps, including the current leader and 3-time WDC.
Grosjean is still a dunce, though. A menace, really.

Yuki pushed him off the track when he dove in late on the brakes into the left hander!

Oh I forgot to mention the part where KMag acknowledged that he deserved all of those time penalties, and he was fine with it, because who cares what position you finish in if you are already out of the points?

Stewart-Haas Nascar team close up shop
Sulayem says Andretti should just buy a team.
Is the writing on the wall? Would Haas sell his f1 team?

I'll be surprised if Haas sells the F1 team.
The economic realities of the two series are very different.
In other words, Nascar teams are barely profitable if they are lucky. Most are not apparently.

Yes, I know. It's also no secret that Haas puts in the least amount of money possible.
I don't think he sells it, but was just funny timing on their announcement and sulayems comments.

I have it on good authority Lance Stroll and the Sargeant blood money family are behind these comments. KMAG was simply protecting his own family when he made them.

Not true at all. They have been pretty close to the budget cap. Even Dumbass Steiner said as much in an interview not long ago and he seems to have an ax to grind judging by the lawsuits.

Gene, if he sells is going to have a $1Bn minimum asking price.
Andretti is backed by Guggenheim (aka Gainbridge that appears on Colton Herta and Delaware Life on Marcus Ericssons car) .
They own like 45% of Andretti Global.
In 2021 when they tried to buy Sauber the price (before Sauber re-neged) was around $200M.
Guggenheim/Cadillac are good for the $600M that was the expected “expansion fee” for the new Concorde Agreement
Now the paddock feels like this is too low.
They will do everything to ensure if Gene sells they get at least $1Bn for the team
I believe the guy in HongKong or that other F2 team have the backing to pull it off (Trident??)
Not sure if Guggenheim/Andretti/Cadillac are game to pony up $1Bn

Absolutely. I thought the same thing this weekend. That would be a long straight and a hard brake.

Maybe now that the cap is in place, but before that they were barely spending $100 million while the top teams were spending $400+.
