I can see your opinion.
To me the draw of Monaco is actually being there for the party.
I compare it to watching a Mardi Gras Parade on TV VS Being There.
2 slightly different experiences.

Monaco is boring every year. I’m just happy Leclerc won.

I like any F1 race under any circumstances and at any location.
People love to shite on Monaco. Even the press and drivers! But it’s awesome to see those elite drivers thread those gigantic cars through narrow spots at 180 mph. One mistake almost always causes collateral damage too.
While we’re on mistakes, what’s everyone think about MAG? I believe the track had a very minor left turn/lean coming soon, but why was he even on Perez’s right rear in that narrow of a gap to begin with? He didn’t have pace to catch him at all and there wasn’t a turn he could have braked late in coming up or anything. It was boneheaded.

Ocon was on the inside of Gasly and had gotten by him at the apex, but didn’t leave him enough room. Why would he make that move on a teammate on lap 1?
It's what Ocon does.
Apparently he talked some shite about Gasly afterwards as well.
Meanwhile, Bruno was obviously not pleased with Pierre.
eta-What really surprised me is he got a 5 place grind penalty for driving over his teammate. Would have figured they would be a little more hands off in that situation.

I think he was stupid to stick his nose in there after starting on the back row. ie-No chance of points today.
I'd guess Gene thinks the same as he has two damaged cars going in the haulers.
Perez looked right and still came over, showing himself to be the moron he is. Racy Spice didn't look pleased with him in the garage.

Literally zero passes the entire race

How happy must Piastri be that he ditched Apline for McLaren?

I saw BOT pass SAR for 16th.

OCO apologized on X.

Why? GAS didn’t do anything. I believe they were told not to race one another but OCO decided to do that anyways . . . on lap 1/78. They could’ve had a chance at double points had OCO not suicided himself into his teammate.

This is one of the most boring races I’ve ever watched. The NASCAR product is far superior to the F1 product right now.
I haven't been able to take NASCAR serious for about ~20 years
I lost interest with all the chase shenanigans. And now, I don't even understand what this stage stuff is, i've been away from paying attention so long.

You sound new to F1, welcome. There are a few races on the calendar where the excitement is on Saturday, not Sunday. Circuit of Monaco is an extremely technical and challenging time attack style of course. But it is not a very good wheel to wheel race for the large F1 cars. These are the kind of races to watch every minute of Qualifying, yet fast forward through most of the race. 20 cars qualifying same time at Monaco is fantastic racing chaos.

Anyone that has been an overall racing fan would also realize NASCAR is a shell of its 90s-2000s self.
While I prefer a lot of F1 of old (2012ish and earlier), F1 is on fire popularity wise. It’s crazy the amount of people that talk to me about it now. Of course they all ask if I watch Drive to Survive

I can legitimately say I don't understand the mentality of comparing racing leagues to each other.
Personally I think Nascar is complete crap, so I don't watch it. I don't go to Nascar forum and stir shite for no reason.
Just watch what you want and if you don't like it don't watch it.
What's the point in jumping on the forum to comment on what others might like?

We all agree that this was the most boring race of all time?
Posted on 5/26/24 at 2:37 pm to ell_13
Not even close.
ETA: last year had some really boring races. this year has been awesome. much more competitive at the top.

Ferrari only 24 points behind RBR in constructors.
With Sergio really falling off and RBR in general not looking as strong could it be?
