I wondered why Nick is 35-1 at Wimbledon. Seems like a steal, so I figured he is a mess. I think Taylor will be OK. Slapdick Mannarino is tricky. Wimbledon is probably a little slower and better bouncing than Queens.

Tsitsipas has a good serve and all court game, but he seems to need a lot of time to hit his groundstrokes and his return stinks. Sinner played well last year, so I guess that explains the 15-1. Somebody like Holger can make a run. Norrie at 100-1 is not the world's worst play.

It's not really the loss against junkball hitting Mannarino that would worry me about Fritz. It's the body of work through 4 matches, and how Fucsovics beat him easily in Stuttgart. He needs a good showing in Eastbourne to pick his confidence back up.

It’s really wild when I’m starting to consider guys like Bublik for Wimbledon lol. Actually now that I think about it, this may be a good year for a solid, unspectacular type to “not lose” his way to the final. Maybe an RBA or De Minaur. Korda def on my radar now too.

Yeah, I was thinking about De Minaur when he whipped Murray the other day. He is sitting at 65-1 right now, but that should drop as he just beat Rune and is in the Queens final. Hurka might be able to derp his way to the semis -- but, his return isn't great. Mannarino and Dimitrov are also decent bets IMO.

Carlos into a grass court final. My man has a Les Miles retard clap.

Buble into the Halle final over Zverev.

Amazing that Novak will be the champion holder of Australia, RG, Wimbledon, and YEC - 4 of the 5 most prestigious tournaments and may not be number one because Alcarez is picking up smaller tourneys. Can’t wait to see Carlos go out early at Wimbledon and everyone look for another savior.

I would put Norrie square in that solid but not spectacular list.

Carlos the grass god wins Queens. DeMinaur moves pretty well, but his janky forehand that he hits late is not good for grass.

Carlos won Queens, but not really impressed with what I'm seeing tactically from him on the surface. I don't think Djokovic has any competition this year at Wimbledon.

Maybe someone like Bublik (who won Halle) can nick a tiebreak or two from Djokovic, but best-of-five on grass? I don't think anyone has a realistic shot this year against Novak.

Andreescu has to be one of the most hated opponents on the tour. She gets under my skin just watching her on tv with all of her extra antics.

On the other hand, especially with Sabalenka looking shakier-than-expected in Berlin and Rybakina still dealing with that Roland Garros illness, the women's field is wiiideeee open.

Men's draw is out of Wimbledon.

Wimbledon Draw

*Word vomit based on initial reactions*

Q1 - Alcaraz, De Minaur could be a sneaky pick there too. I don't think Rune has grass figured out yet, and Tiafoe is too inconsistent for me to back. Tiafoe could easily get taken out in the 1st Round by Yibing Wu. In fact, I think I'm going to have to take Wu straight up in that match.

Q2 is wide open with the top 2 seeded players there being Medvedev and Tsitsipas. Could be another great chance for Shelton to pick up points with an easier draw like the Australian.

Q3 has Fritz (clown), Sinner (glass), Ruud. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bautista Agut or Shapovalov make it through there. Fritz is probably going to forget to show up and get knocked out early. Will probably be Ruud making another deep run on athleticism alone. Might be able to get decent odds on Ruud Q3 based on a Ruud sucks on grass line.

Q4 is Djokovic. But it does have Kyrgios in there as a question mark.

I still believe in Fritz for some reason. I think he will do better on the firmer, slower grass than the last few weeks. But, I think Sinner wins that quarter. RBA would be a good pick, though.

I threw $50 on Fritz and Korda and $20 on Norrie.

Post Wimbledon bump.

American Alex Michelsen is into the Newport Finals vs Mannarino.

If he wins he'll go onto a very short list of American players to win an ATP title at 18. Roddick, Sampras, Chang being the most recent.

Eta: He signed with Georgia out of high school. He hasn't officially said he's going pro, but it's probably coming after the Final tomorrow.

Michelsen either ran out of gas or couldn't handle the tricky lefty homosexual.

In other news... Ruud curses
